I have it there in jest to be honest. I don't start the threads on him either. Also my posts aren't all about him /points to the goalie threads.
-
Sorry, I just don't see the big deal about this. Now a funny occurrence was the Patrick Eaves blooper. Now that's funny stuff. Just throwing my 2 cents out there, ignore it if you want.

Hehe an announcer called a player a girl's name hehehehehehe
-
Didn't realize I was only referring to the original poster and not the other 10 people replying in the thread. Anyways I'm not going to talk about Crosby because it gets me in trouble. Have fun making jokes about an NHL superstar that 11 year olds would laugh at.
-
I'm wondering if the same Wing's fans that complain about Crosby's attention will ever realize they are the ones bringing him up...
-
Exactly. I don't see why people need to A) Bash Osgood, or B) Bash Howard. Why can't we all just be happy that we have a first year goalie exceeding every expectation, instead of trying to start a goalie war over a random quote. And rebounds he could improve on, but making the first save is the most important thing a goalie can do. I could careless about rebounds if, at the end of the day, he wins. That's all that matters, rebound control will come with experience. People are putting too much stock into rebounds, in interviews Lidstrom/Rafalski all are saying that Howard making the first save is all that matters and it's their job to protect the area in front.

Wasn't Crosby's fault Ovechkin doesn't come to play and only cares about money and women.

Those teams don't draw nearly as much as Pittsburgh. The Classic needs to create as much attention as possible, not try and shed light on a little known team that many of the casual fans would have no idea about.
-
Wouldn't be a bad idea. The two best players in the game, two very good playoff teams, and conference rivals. Seems like a given to me? The Winter Classic is about making money, and this match-up would more than likely have the most draw than any other match up.

With all the challenges this year we've had to rely more on the goalie more than before. I understand and agree with how Babcock is handling this, I don't think he purposely trying to bash Osgood with nitpick quotes in the press more than he is trying to keep Jimmy consistently playing at the level he has. If anyone really has a problem with this quote they need to reevaluate their player before team mindset. I don't see how anyone could take this goaltending situation negatively when Howard has been such a surprise and so successful in such a difficult situation.

That was a horrible call. Although I'd be pissed if my coach broke my stick like that, granted the team probably supplies them I'm picky as hell.
-
Hasek and Festisov aren't bruisers? My life has no meaning now.
-
He's looked good every since he's been sat. Although I don't think it was all his fault, it's easier to play when your best players are playing well. A 6th defenseman can only do so much.
-
Only if we get Fetisov and Hasek to come back as well.

I've missed the blueadam's lines threads. Thanks.

Jimmy "The Glove" Howard?
-
Eaves deserves some major credit. He sacrificed himself to throw Rinne off his game. Eaves is brilliant, his plan worked perfectly. All Hail Eaves.
-
Jimmy Howard.

I hate Nashville. What a boring, s***ty style.
-
Wings aren't playing that bad. So there hasn't been much to complain about.
-
I didn't lose hope! Although I was worried, I knew that Holland had faith that he constructed a winning line up.
-
Better for the league.
-
Doesn't mean I can't hold it against him=( I just think there was another way around the situation than going to the KHL. It's such a privlege to play in the NHL, not to mention the best franchise in the league. Guess I'm just irrational.
-
Fair enough. I suppose 99% of all NHLers are making poor financial decisions.
-
You act like it's common for a player to leave a franchise to play over seas for more money in the prime of his career.
