Steady. A couple nervous passes, but no big deal. Good positioning, great skating, good stickwork, pretty average puck skils, not too physical. Overall pretty good for a rookie playing his first game.

Yeah thought he played well, a couple first game jitter passes, but overall was very solid.

It worked didn't it? He could hear our disappointment. And he fixed it. No, but really. He does give the puck up entirely too much. I'm not hating, I'm just stating a fact, he leads our team by a wide margin in giveaways. How am I being unfair?

Datsyuk checked out yet again. Just let him go back to Russia, he obviously doesn't want to be here. What a dumb play at this point in the game, you can't do that.

What? How in the world is that Quincey's fault? The guy hit the puck out of mid air, Lidstrom isn't even going to defend that. That goal is on Tootoo for not clearing the zone.

4th line played like crap there. Bad play by Tootoo in particular. Really wish we had a hockey player on that 4th line and not a boxer.

Move Brendan Smith to forward. He's a trainwreck defensively, we could use his size, skill, and speed up front. We have plenty of defensemen.

The continuation of making the playoffs, and money from the first round will do more then 2-3 more spots in a draft. Too late to tank for a top 5 pick in all reality. At least in my opinion. I feel we can attract free agents better if we make the playoffs even if we lose, rather then if we miss. -
Glad datsyuk decided to take a night off. Anyone that thinks that euro is top 5 in anything other than being lazy and turnin the puck over is a fool. We need a hard working top player.

Lol at people that wanted Morris. Guy is a shell of his former self and takes the worst penalities. Need to capitalize here, need datsyuk, zetterberg, franzen or kronwall to step up.

Good powerplay by the second unit. Nice goal.

We had some semblance of winger depth with Tatar/Nyquist, our center depth is pretty barren Sheahan/Ferraro/Andersson don't really project top 6, or are a ways out. And Jarnkrok is going to need some time to become a complete player to replace Filppula.

Get in the playoffs and you can win. Howard is an elite goalie, Datsyuk and Zetterberg can dominate. Franzen can get hot. and our depth players are all experienced and good defensively. Smith/Quincey/Kindl/Lashoff etc. need to step up and play well. It can happen, all of these things are in the realm of possibility. It's not like we need abdelkader to turn into lindros, we just need people to play to their potential, not above it. -
Ah ok, just heard it quickly on NHL live, I should probably read before I post things like that eh? haha Plenty of other things I'm confused on this year. Not putting Nyquist or Tatar on top lines when struggling offensively. Keeping Cleary, and Abby together for so long etc. Secondary scorers have more than .31 PPG there are 278 forwards with higher PPG. He's not producing enough.
