my point with eaves is that he has the potential to be a top 6 forward and i think he is worth taking a chance on for a year. if he keeps playing like he has than we let him walk and if he develops then we sign him long term. to me it is a no lose situation.

Hudler won't get much better then 60 points a year man. plus he only plays one way whereas eaves plays both ways. i would take eaves 20 goals and PK ability right now over hudlers 60 points and one way play. the way i see it the more quality two way players we have on this team the more it frees up hank and pav to just play 5 on 5 and PP thus resulting in them producing more points and staying fresher come playoff time. This is why i like the idea of signing eaves, pyatt and grier so guys like hank, pav and franzen don't have to waste energy on the PK. As to your points about Pyatt and Grier making more than 1 million per a year. they are both coming off their worst seasons as pros and they only made around 1.5 million a piece so i do not think it is much of a stretch to think that they would come here and play for a million a season. your dumbass is making it sound like i am saying that they are gonna take a couple of million less a piece to play here. if i was grier i would for sure take 500K less then i made last year to play for my hometown team.

Grier and Pyatt combine should be around 2 million, then i would send down abby to free up 800k which would leave us with around 500k then i would trade meech and sign eaves for 1 million. that is how i would work it and if they didn't take our offers we don't get them.

#1 Patrick Eaves(he's plays both ways and can score as much as hudler) #2 Taylor Pyatt(he's huge, stands up for teamates and is a former 1st rounder who PK's but has untapped potential) #3 Mike Grier(solid PK'er and great team leader) I believe if we sign those 3 guys we win the cup. plus maltby to me is a perfect 13th forward at this point in his career.

if we end up with patrick eaves you all will be very very happy with his play.

patrick eaves has top 6 potential but i think he would flourish on our 3rd line with helm and leino/cleary. another tidbit of good news is most of his family live in windsor which could be a nice selling point for us to use.

Sign Grier, Pyatt and the newly bought out Eaves Z-D-H Leino-Fils-Franzen Cleary-Helm-Eaves Pyatt-Draper-Grier ex Maltby that is an unreal lineup in my opnion. good luck to all the other 29 teams playing agaisnt that lineup

here is the thing throw hossa's goals from last year out the window. we do not need to make up for his goals because we didn' win the cup with his goals as opposed to the year before when we did without them. so how many did sammy. huds and kopy score? like 50 or 60 combined so the way i see it we need to make up for those goals. to me if you had a 3rd line of abby-helm-cleary you would see elm put up 10 goals and abby put up 17. now we only need to account for 30 goals. Leino playing on a 2nd line with franzen and fils would net 20 goals easy so now you only have to acount for 10 or so goals. by adding players like Pyatt and Grier to the 4th line would for sure account for 10 goals combined. so the way i see it we will be just fine in the goal scoring department. plus in my eyes i can't wai to see how dominant our d will be after a full year of Big Rig playing.

tanguay is not a fit here. he is a playmaking winger. we need a scoring winger or a winger who is a gritty Pk'er.

Hudler and Lebda for Jack Johnson in a heartbeat. la is in terrible need of top 6 wingers even after the smyth trade and its clear that hudler wants to play someplace else so it makes legit sense to me.
