I would definately keep Hudler over Hossa, and maybe even trade Hossa's rights to give us an asset. What would you do? I would try to move up in the draft, or get a first rounder from last year

hell no. Conklin over Cujo any day of the week. Cujo and Conklin are both around 6-800k anyways. I wanna see Howard, and if he doesn't do well, then get Larsson, or anybody but Cujo. i'd rather put cheli in net

After watching game 5, I really thought about the team next year. I was thinking about who I looked forward to seeing the most, and i guess I made a list. This is totally unrealistic to keep next year, but I just hate seing anybody on another team. Hudler, the small guy, is probably ahead of Hossa on the list of players I want to keep, but only by a tiny bit. He has definitely been huge part of this team. If he was traded away, who would we call "Happy Hudler"? Who would give Osgood the cluck? He is one of the guys who has the most potential on the team. I don't want to see him go. Hossa's been a huge forward for us (not currently), and his hunger has definitely helped our team have a motivation. He has been good for us all season, and I want to see him back too. He makes the Flip better, and the Flip is better with him. And please, don't suggest trading the Flip for room for Hossa, the two have great chemistry, and I want them to stay together on the same team. The Flip's stickhandling is just amazing.

yeah, but he's being put on a line with draper and malts he's good with someone like Zetterberg Samuelsson is good too, as long as he's smart with the puck, but I'd put Leino ahead of him. Samuelsson is a guy I've liked to watch for a long time too, especially SCF Game 1

I'm more used to seeing Hudler on our team though I'm a pretty big Hudler fan

at pre-lockout, I was a Leafs fan since I lived in Toronto, and my favourite player was Almo (big time), but the team changed big time post-lockout and I really didn't like what Toronto did. They weren't the same team. I cheered for New Jersey for a short time before they demoted Mogilny because of a nagging hip (still scored 12 goals and got 13 assists). I hated New Jersey for doing that, and Mogilny was inactive and wasn't going to be back, so midway through the season I was watching a lot of teams. I saw the Detroit-Nashville game and saw Datsyuk's move, and how well he played that game. They played a good style of hockey and I followed them ever since, with Datsyuk being my new favourite player (Russian like Almo!)

We could then sign Hossa for 6 million and some others. Let's just say that Hudler signs for 2 million (unlikely), Stuart gets traded to LA, Filppula is traded for draft picks and prospects, we bring up Howard, sign Leino and another cheap forward (Haydar, anyone?) If the cap doesn't go up, then maybe Hudler signs for 1.7 (or get another forward from FA) and Hossa for 5.8. I'm dreaming, but w/e.
