Signed Dekeyser signed. 2 yrs $2.187 million AAV

He needs a bridge contract plain and simple, one good year does not get you a long term contract Jeff Finger, Ville Leino say hi PS: Johansen should learn from Subban, sign a bridge deal and after a couple years grab a much bigger deal -

Remember when Flip and Kronwall both signed for 5 years, 3 million/yr? At first they didn't seem like super amazing deals but as time went along they were huge bargains. Wouldn't mind that for Dekeyser simply because of term (maybe even less cap hit), Tatar needs to prove himself more but hoping he gets a Kindl type deal -
Even after, there were some pretty exciting times "Wings sign Hossa to a 1 year deal" and even the plug signing "Wings sign Conklin to a 700k contract" Almost a guarantee to the cup (and we only missed out by a couple of goals) http://www.letsgowings.com/forums/topic/52134-marian-hossa-a-red-wing-1yr-745m/ http://www.letsgowings.com/forums/topic/52544-i-still-cant-believe-hossa-is-a-red-wing/ I miss our old management group...

Good for him and good for South Korea. He knows what it takes.

Holy smokes if we get Brent Seabrook I will forgive Kenny for everything A huge part of his play is definitely a result of playing with Keith but I mean pair him with Dekeyser and you've got a solid top 4 (other two being Kronner & Smith)

God forbid if I see Danf****** Cleary on a power play unit... -
People have been saying this for years...

Agreed. He's comparable to a Rafalski or Schneider. Can put up 50 points especially with the opportunity he'll be given here.

Helm Kindl and a 1st actually isn't so bad. Add in a 3rd or another bottom 6 roster player like Andersson and you get Myers I think. Look back at the Dion Phaneuf trade. There were more pieces involved and more things went back Toronto's way, but Toronto gave up Matt Stajan, Niklas Hagman, Jamal Mayers, and Ian White. They got back Phaneuf, Aulie, and Sjostrom. Helm is like a Stajan and you could argue that a first and Kindl together are as valuable as Ian White at the time Also, that was four years ago. For every manager not named Ken Holland, trade values have gone down. Gorges went for a second (how the hell did Buffalo manage that, seriously, and to think we have Quincey for a first...). Garrison went for a second. Myers has more upside but that's why he's going for more than that..

Side note Blashill sounds exactly like Babcock in interviews..

Solid signing by Ottawa...

I've seen Datsyuk's rookie highlight reel a bunch of times, and after watching Tatar's, I will be royally pissed if they trade him. The reels are very similar: a bit worse defensively, same shifty moves, a harder shot, both great in corners, and plays with a lot of heart. He's no "soft euro".

I'd like Babcock to stay and Holland to leave

Well...at least we're not Philadelphia. Giroux Arrested.

Conn Smythe, four playoff overtime winners (3 series ending), a bunch of three point games that kept the Hawks alive in the LA series, multiple playoff hat tricks Not sure what more you can ask of the guy... imagine we had that on our team? -
signed Quincey re-signed by DET. 2 yr s $4.25 mill AAV
anthonyn66 replied to haroldsnepsts's topic in General
I hate Quincey more than anything He's the easiest player for my buddies to chirp on the Wings next to the typical Cleary/Sammy/Bert BUT Remember when Ericsson was signed to that contract back in 2011? It was the same thing, we thought we'd let him walk, ends up getting a huge raise. There was a lot of backlash, the forum went nuts, but it ended up working out. Seems unlikely it'll be this way for Quincey but one can only hope... -

I like Myers better than Niskanen because Myers has more upside and has the potential to be a #1 D on our team for a long time Niskanen I think would be a risk as well, I mean one season inflating his cap value by a lot, he could either turn out like O'Reilly or like Clarkson or Nathan Horton
-
Jason Garrison just went for salary dump... We're reportedly talking to Buffalo for Myers (per Dreger), maybe we could pull off something similar (Pulkkinen + Kindl + 3rd?)
-
I think they got fair return... obviously Anaheim comes out a (bit) better but I mean come on when your player gives a very small list of teams and the rumours are swirling, Benning's hands were tied Getting back a serviceable d-man and a fairly young center who put up almost 50 points isn't a bad return, they wanted players who can play for their team and that's what they got

He's probably lying but it'd be impossible to debunk haha "Trades will be announced at the draft. Some have been in discussion before then. e4" In other breaking news Chicago is in talks to extend the contracts of Kane and Toews, e4
