When Edzo isn't there the NBC stream is a great stream to listen to. Forslund and Strader are excellent, and personally I love Doc because he makes the game really exciting despite his overuse of "DRIVE". Pierre does kinda suck though but at least he's professional and doesn't pick a side. None of this matters though because I have TSN and I have their crew which are always amazing to listen to!

It doesn't matter if he's a scoring winger or not you don't give up on the play, EVER, especially with the game tied in the playoffs. He's the captain of the team too, doesn't show any kind of effort. That would be annoying to look at in the regular season with a 3-0 lead let alone a playoff game. If you look at our captain Z last night, when he fell and the play looked pretty bad he got up off his ass and backchecked like you've never seen him before. That's how a captain plays, he sets an example for the rest of the team with his intensity, Ovechkin obviously did not.

One thing that's similar from 2007 and 2013 that's really annoying is the Red Wings are missing a WHOLE BUNCH of good chances

WHY. WHY. WHY must you bring that series up, I know we were in the finals that year and this year we're in the first round and it was obviously better then but I always CRINGE at the thought of that series especially because of how well game 5 went...

Let's not forget that Babs coached him in 2010 for the Olympics and he played very well (of course that had to do with playing with Crosby), so he's familiar with our system somewhat. Him playing on a line with Datsyuk would be magic, plus he's got a ton of leadership experience and class. To top it off he is cup hungry.

We've also got Nyquist down in the AHL who would do just as good of a job as Sykora if not better... If anything this move would be a huge slap in the face to him

I can't remember the last time the Red Wings had a prospect on team Canada at the world juniors. Despite it being in Russia this year and I will have to wake up at 4:30, it should be awesome having players on team Canada to cheer for and not have to watch Finland/Sweden/USA/Czech to follow the Red Wing prospects.
