It seems like since the season has started everytime I come back to this forum people have been expecting the worst towards a season that really hasn't even started yet. Isn't it fair to give them at least 20-25 games before we bring up any ideas about trades or coaching moves... all it takes is a couple big games and the momentum is there. Making the playoffs should be the priority not winning every single game like the years of past. Let them gell a bit and get used to the new personel and then the chemestry will set in. In the words of retarded rock star Fred Durst "rock, gotta have faith"

Was Babcock a tad too hands off when he coached back to back finals appearances? What is he doing in the first 5 games this year that are different than the 282W - 130L career that he has had so far? Isn't it possible that he isn't even thinking about lines and is more focused on the mentality of the game? How do we know that he is not hands on or hands off? Is it because you don't agree with the lines errrrr what?

It is amazing that a 9 year old can do this. But if you think about it...kids start playing hockey when they learn to walk in some places so it's no surprise really...

There will always be gliches in stats usually caused by human error. The people who do all the info for box scores use a simple program that gets them to put in the jersey number of the player who got the assist or whatever. It is very easy to accidently put in the worng number, and end up with a player not even on the game roster credited with a point. This usually ends up being fixed when the box scores are officially submitted.

It's a long process. Throwing him in to see what happens isn't there intentions. It's part of the grooming process to get him used to the arena, the pace of play, environment, etc.

I work 2nd shift and have missed the last couple of games. Does anyone know if there is a set schedule of games being replayed at midnight or 1-2am or FSD?

Homer is about the best player to have in the post season IMO. Sure he s*** the bed last year but he still has skill in front of the net and he still has that fire in him to get in peoples faces and dig in the boards. Who doesn't wanna see him deflect passes and stir things up in front of the net?

Well I think its safe to say that everyone agrees that this current team, more or less the same line formations can make it to the playoffs, correct? Then why is everyone freaking out? Once you get to the playoffs the players like Holmstrom (who for whatever reason is getting beaten down by alot of fans), Lidstrom, Datsyuk, Zetterberg & Kronwall will carry the rest of the team just like the last 2 years. The point is to get to the playoffs because anything can happen there. I just can't understand that we are 5 games into the season...with alot of young talent coming through, a new backup goalie who has waited so long for a shot, A new defensemen who is a gigantic Swede that can hit and score & one of the best playoff goalies as of late in net and I hear people talk about trades, coaching moves, lineup changes, call ups/call downs? I trust the whole organization to put the best talent they have on the ice so I can sit back and watch hockey and given what they have as far as cap money goes I think they did a pretty damn good job...

I think resorting to "shaking things up" to fullfill a dillusion that this season will be a losing one is not what this team needs. I think sticking to the same method that has helped them dominate the west for 10 years is what this team needs.
