I think it's a matter of people not believing in the current system perhaps? Maybe questioning some of the lineups that have been put together and some of the off season or lack of off season movement? I like to think that this team can win stretches of games though. Im talking 5-10 in a row if they get hot, who knows. I can guarantee the only worry they (Babcock & the players) have is what playoff spot they will be. They may not look great on paper and sure the first few games have been scary. But haven't teams that have started worse than this in the league gone on to the playoffs?

Every single year in Detroit it seems like there is a "goalie situation" Well keep these stats in mind Chris Osgood 389 Regular Season Wins (10th all time) 74 Playoff Wins (8th all time) 49 Regular Season Shutouts (2nd among active goalies behind Martin Brodeur) 15 Playoffs Shutouts (4th most all time) 2.09 Playoff GAA (10th all time) He seems like a goalie worth holding on to until he retires and having faith in if you ask me...

I hate contributing to a horrible thread. BUT!!!! This happens every year in Detroit whether its the pistons or red wings we're 2 games in and people are pooping the bed it's obvious this team isn't going to win 50 games or get back to back pres cups it's obvious that there are better teams in the west and are going to finish ahead of the wings but thinking they wont make the playoffs? you have got to be kidding me...
