waitahochiminute replied to The Mule's topic in General
I took the day off of work (obviously) and am breaking out the zetterberg jersey. Hockey is back! GO WINGS!!! -
A player very worthy of a cup IMO. Just never got on the right team i suppose.

18 goals 8,362,766,499 assists

I think a couple good rivalries in chicago and pittsburg will actually do the red wings some good, give them a bit of spark and desperation while they play...

thanks for not answering or relating to my post in any way lol...

Doesn't Jiřà Fischer work with the defensemen?

We have a totally different team this year with 4 or 5 new starters, the season has yet to start and we're already worrying about the penalty kill? How can you compare this team to last years team in any way?
-
My only problem with the NBA is the lack talent. Well I should say the lack of team play. Seems like Every team has to have a superstar on the team to score 30-40 points. I miss the good ole days when games averaged 120 points and the image factor didnt play into the actual sport...

Frolov to Chicago for Versteeg and Cam Barker
waitahochiminute replied to Dominator2005's topic in General
indeed they could be... -
Even if Howard poops the bed (which i dont think he will) we can throw Larsson in and see what happens...I would love to see him play at the professional level.

Lidstrom selected as hockey's Athlete of the Decade
waitahochiminute replied to Cruiser008's topic in General
Ronaldinho or Messi has to be somewhere in the list of best athletes? Or are we just doing a North America thing? EIther way Lidstrom is the best ever!!! -
This is great! Now all they have to do is move the team to Hamilton!!!
-
well if he gets into a fight every week that means PIM city, why would you want that? Especially when our killing was where it was last year. Tootoo doesn't fit people! The wings are a two way player & hockey sense kind of team. They don't need a big lug out there throwing his body around and racking up minutes in the box while they're trying to maintain the flow of the game and maintain possesion. UGH! If it was Milan Lucic or a player that can enforce and make some passes at the same time then I would agree. But not Poopoo...plllllllease not Poopoo!

He'll play in Europe somewhere im sure...

Meshuggah - Re-Nothing Refused - The shape of punk to come I like Swedish hockey players and music!

Better throw Tartar sauce in the mix...

I agree, the one spot on this team that gets to me is the backup situation. It can either work out great or poop the bed IMO. I personally would like to see Larsson eventually...but this is another topic.

I think this will be productive for his development. I could see why they wouldn't want him to play against bigger & more experienced players but that raw talent has got to be tested. Should be a fun story to follow this year!

Frolov to Chicago for Versteeg and Cam Barker
waitahochiminute replied to Dominator2005's topic in General
I can't see them giving Versteeg, Kane or Toews away anytime soon... -
Helm, Abdelkader & Eaves besides a short temper & some more experience I can't see what else Tootoo would offer that those 3 players can't
-
Tootoo just does not fit in this offense to me. The defense supplies the physical aspect of this game IMO. It's a smart possesion minded offensive attack that requires hockey sense and two way players. This team (the current lineup of the red wings) is projected to finish no worse than 4th overall in the West in just about every review magazine and every website ive read up on. What is wrong with that? I think it's obvious that the good ole days of winning presidents cups and 50+ win seasons are coming to an end. The only thing that could stop the red wings this year from being a power house and finishing high if not on top in the west is there mind set & health. The talent is there...proven and unproven talent. If we need anything on the offensive side of things its chemistry and desperation. Honestly, how could anyone automatically think without seeing this lineup play a regular season game that we need something or will need something. We have young guys coming up that are worth being excited about and a couple prime aged guys trying to get there game back. What more could you want as a viewer? Do we not trust our players or the decisions that were made in the off season and free agent signing? Im 100% satisfied with what we currently have and think it's pretty darn incredible that we were able to keep as much as we did. Let the season progress and view the stats as they happen and then talk about trading for a mediocre player that wont contribute anything

I agree, whats the point in dwelling over bad calls and crappy outcomes...
