I think Howard would be a fine backup to Osgood, I think thats his only option cause he can't play another year in the AHL. I would love to see what Larsson can do for Grand Rapids...from my research hes suppose to be a nice big body between the pipes. Osgood is the man though...he carried us when Hasek pooped the bed and he carried us this year when we pooped the bed. He is an elite goalie in the league and a hall of famer in my mind.

Im probably starting to sound like a broken record cause out of all my good friends im the only one that seems to notice this. These VS announcers obviously have a agenda to not talk down certain teams and to kinda get behind a team. This year it was well Columbus, Anaheim and Chicago. Right from the start it Nash then it was Getzlaf then it was Kane now obviously it's going to be Crosby. What about Cleary or Franzen? Im sick of the NHL being on VS and NBC for that matter (even though I can watch those games at work hehe) This sport deserves better commentating than these guys. I swear after the wings won last night all the announcers were silent...it was like they were all mad and dissappointed that the wings pulled it off and made it to the finals again. Ah the hell with them...

I went to the game on Feb 25. Loved seeing Leino take the puck and go straight to the net...and that goal he batted out of the air was insane! What do you think of him coming up and getting on a line with Zetterberg or maybe Hossa just to see if he can get some zing going on the offensive side of things. I see they are putting Maltby back in and im not against that really cause of his experience and speed...but I could see them scratching Kader maybe and just trying out Leino for a game or two. Whats everyone think of the Leino situation and is there a reason why he isn't getting called up ahead of kader? I know hes earned his due but this Leino guy can go to the net and get things going from what i've seen...either way this team combined with the talent coming out of Grand Rapids is just great to watch develop. Go wings!

It would be tough cause the team is playing pretty well right now. If I had to I would say Cleary, Osgood or Sams. Osgood cause of the obvious (coming off a bad stretch late in the season and getting his mind set and taking control of the games so far...i've only seen maybe one or two soft goals get by him so far) Cleary and Sams both because they ve made those game changing goals to get us in the lead or to tie up the game. It's hard to put a MVP on the team right now cause there are so many players stepping up and doing good jobs. Ericsson, cleary, osgood, sams, franzen. All could be MVP...

I would like this rivalry to get a little spark. Anytime two original six teams are goin at it im in heaven anyway...but the Blackhawks do have some young talent in Kane and Toews to look out for and a veteran Goalie that has been around. Should be a good series when it inevitably happens

Yeah thats what im saying. Take these winning seasons and cup runs...introduce them to a high level goalie on the market and see what happens.

What would it take to get both of these guys to sign? I know Hossa would have to a take huuuuge paycut in order to stay under the cap restrictions but what would that salary be? I would imagine Franzen would be taking a smaller salary as well...Just curious as to how small they would be. I have all the faith in Holland but is it all up to whether or not they would take a winning team discount?

Just got back from my first trip to the Joe and what a game!!! The ice was slanted the whole night...the sharks came on a little bit in the 3rd but not enough for a team that looked playoff ready to me. So many goals I didnt have time to worry about Claude. GO WINGS!!!
