Going to the game Wednesday with my dad. Can't wait!!! First game since the 2003 season. It's a long overdue for a visit to the Joe... Just wanna see what some peoples thoughts on Ville Leino. So far I think he looks like he is in top NHL form. After tonight against the wild I think he has around 6 points in 8 or 9 games? Not bad at all & I hope they keep him around to compliment the young talent we have coming up. Well thats my first post...GO WINGS!!!

I agree. Howard still needs time I think but I wanna see what Larsson has to offer.

I could see Evgeni Malkin being in the hall of fame. hall of fame though...thats a hard prediction to make

During a game a couple weeks ago I remember Mickey Redmond mentioning that he didn't know if there has been a #6 jersey in Detroit or something along those lines. For whatever reason I never caught the outcome of that conversation...so does anyone know if there has been a #6 for the wingers and if so who? GO WINGS!!!

Id like to see Leino on a line with cleary next year but id also like to see Helm grind it out on the 3rd or 4th line. Gimmie both for next year and throw in a Daniel Larsson for a game or two and i'll be peachy

He didn't look great but he made some good stops. The defense didn't help but the first goal was snuggle's soft. He just isn't developing...I wanna see Larsson

I have thought about that but I think this year is a little bit different. Both goalies last year were proven goaltenders with experience in the playoffs. This year deals with the goalies overall skill and ability to face a playoff ready team night after night I think. Osgood has the experience and ability over Conklin in my mind cause he is a veteran playoff goalie and well lets face it...Conklin has only played 1 single playoff game with the Oilers. It all comes down to if Osgood can get his mind ready for the playoffs. Osgood is our guy...hes been with us through the thick and thin. BUT if for whatever reason Osgood takes a mental health day like Hasek did last year I can't see both of these goalies failing us through this playoff run. Im all for Conklin and im all for Osgood but the man with the experience must play! GO WINGS!

I dunno alot could happen between now and the start of next season. But seeing how our cap is almost out and we're still trying to figure out Franzen & Hossa's deal. Leino or Helm should be a starter next year...

Gotta tell ya, Im not thrilled which Jimmy Howard at all after tonights performance. I used to think hes a good youngster to keep around but wow...I kinda wanna see what Daniel Larsson has to offer in the NHL

Im a big fan of Conklin, even when he was with the penguins and backed up fleury while he was hurt last year giving them some much needed wins to reach the playoffs (I think he went 18-8 with them.) The little time he has played in the NHL as a backup has been very productive as you can tell by the stats. I see him as the future of the team seeing how Howard hasn't really developed in my eyes yet and Daniel Larsson still has a couple years to go. Goaltending is a huge part of the game if not the most important in this age of the NHL. I think Conks has proven himself when presented with the challenges hes faced. BUT, this is Osgood country...the verteran stays in for the playoffs!
