Then don't go. More room for us.

+1 Kudos! The end of an era.

The moral of the story is that Crosby does not acknowledge other teams and players. This is why it is never the other team playing hard or the other teams goalie (Halak) standing on his head that won the game for them. It is what the Pens didn't do and lucky bounces and and bad breaks and other crap like that. I DO believe he DID NOT go to the handshake line ON PURPOSE (because he is immature) and knew the legions of bandwagon riders such as yourself would then make up excuses for him while he played opossum while over with the reporters. Thanks for proving him right. I would like to personally thank the Habs for single-handedly destroying the ratings of the NHL Finals for Gary Bettman, Versus and NBC after defeating both the ****** bag poster-boys for the NHL. Even though the Wings departed early, I will now continue to watch the finals without having to see either of them. Kudos and good luck my Canadian brethren.

That is not a fair comparison. Pronger has always been hated in the NHL.
-
I will back Chicago until the finals, but we all know that Quenville and Hossa are cursed, so hoping for Boston as well. A good original six matchup to end the season.
-
Pittsburg will not be playing again in the Winter Classic for a while. I will bet money on it. There are plenty of teams waiting in line for their turn. Washington is one of them.

HAH!!! Now we have comedians too.

GDT 2010 Olympic Gold Medal Game: Canada 3 vs. USA 2 (OT)
Jaymz99 replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in Hall of Fame
Historically, I agree, it is...But we still have the class. Good game Canucks. Still hate Cindy. USA -
Bring back #13 Dats...........I mean Kozlov. Before the Dangle Dangle there was Slava. How soon we forget what he brought to the table.

I appreciate Matlbys hustle every night. Him and Draper are always the first ones on the ice at the beginning of the periods. They have served us well for many many years. With the contracts coming to an end I believe Maltby will probably go after this year but would love to see otherwise. Same with Draper next season. Too many people have this out with the old mentality on the LGW boards. Maybe when their jobs are taken by a half cost grad student they will think otherwise.

Bear league? Sounds dangerous. Send in the players who aren't hustling. They will against a bear.

They were sold a month or two before the Winter Classic game on sites like shop.nhl.com and Fansedge. Sold out pretty quickly. I see they didn't offer them this year for the Boston Philly WC jerseys (at least not on shop.NHL.com).

Here here. I second this minus the Howard comment. If he should have, he would have. He also could have let in one or two more so it's all relative. Other than that it, this post is spot on. Raffi and Ericsson have both been sloppy recently. Not sure what is up with these guys. But rather than pick on individuals, the team needs to pull it together. All the Franzens, Kronners, Homers, and so on won't make a difference if they don't start playing like the former Cup champs. ****** defeat from the jaws of victory. We like to leave that to the Detroit Lions.

Turnovers....................................are a *****.

Steve Yzerman Q & A From Hockefest 2009: "I really enjoy being involved in the management of the team," Yzerman said. "I enjoy working with Kenny and Jim (Nill, assistant GM) and Ryan Martin (salary cap) in the front office. I really find it interesting. Being involved with Team Canada is something I really enjoy as well. I feel I'm a relatively young guy in this business and I have a lot to learn. "To answer your question, I'm very content doing what I'm doing right now and if the right opportunity did come along at some point, I'd probably consider it."

Last year the Wings were on their game, Ville looked good. This year the Wings are struggling, Ville not as good. Coincidence, I think not. It's all relative. The team is still not gelling completely. When the season starts with Homer as the top goal scorer and Meech getting tons of ice time you know it is going to be a different year. Ville's numbers in the AHL prove that he has the talent. I have seen stick handling from this guy in Grand Rapids that I couldn't believe. Dangle dangle type stuff. Deke goalies out of their shorts. Give him time. First full year, one of the Wings worst in quite a while, and everybody comes down on the rookie. Maybe we should be looking at some of our bigger names to step it up a little instead of picking on the new guys.

Around New Years. I do not believe they are going anywhere other than Detroit.
-
As I am to understand, this is not a viable option for the Redwings and Olympia as it would alienate current season ticket holders due to the difference in location distance. A member of the Olympia staff recently said that they are close to a new short term 5 year deal with the city of Detroit that would allow for either renovations of the current Joe Louis or the construction of the new downtown arena. This was also confirmed by a season ticket holder board member. Take it for what it's worth until confirmed.

Lidstrom won't announce future plans till after season
Jaymz99 replied to FunkedUp's topic in General
I must have hit a sensitive nerve! Another person pissed at how the Wings are doing and looking for a scape goat. I have come on these forums after Leino has had a solid night with kudos from Babs and everyone still says he played like crap. Living room coaches are best left in the living room. -

Nobody is effective right now so it is a moot point. This season has seen almost no regularity in the playing ability of anyone. It fluctuates game to game. I am tired of all the Leino bashing. He is a Wing right now so support him. If not, then hop on the Penguins bandwagon like the rest of the fair weather fans. -
(First speech to team as a captain) Now guys, you put your elbow into the shoulder and the knee behind their leg and down they go. I swear it's clean. Also, it is now mandatory to do an end-zone style dance after every goal. Fanboys love it!

"The Captain" Nuff said!

"History of Hockeytown" and "Heroes of Hockeytown: From A to Z" are excellent coffee table books. They are large, have huge full color photos and are full of great stories. They can be found at the Joe or Hockeytown Authentics for $20 and $10 respectively.

I was merely making a pun using your screen name. All in good fun. No one, except possibly Jake Ryan, would ever want to see this happen.
