Yeah, it's horrible. Homer is only the teams goal leader and all. I hope they break them up too. Goals come in many different ways. Hell, even Meech scores sometimes. Playmaking is just as important as scoring goals. Good to see some depth beyond Z/Dats/Mule.

No offense to Hull and Robitaille, both outstanding players in their own right, but they weren't really in Detroit for long. Hull should be honored by the Blues and Luc by the Kings.

I work for the Government and I can say at least in our little sliver of it, only the Health Department and those departments directly involved with the vaccination clinics, police, fire and volunteers, are able to get the vaccination. They are very strict because of the shortages. This has upset elected officials greatly.

Keep an eye out for private signings from local card shops and signing houses or use websites like signingshotline.com to know when players have upcoming private signings.

Outside of hockey related events, practices, PR (smoke detector/fire dept), etc, Zetty really only does private signings where you have to mail or drop your stuff off to get it signed. Dats and Ozzie are the same, but Ozzie used to do public signings in the past. For season ticket holders, Z will be at the annual Open house again this month as well as the rest of the team. If you know a season ticket holder, try asking them nice.......or flattery or bribery for the extra ticket that they get to bring a guest to the event.

I will say this much, if the rest of the team doesn't step up, you could have Terry Sawchuk in goal and it won't make a difference. Give the kid a chance to prove himself. He gets blasted for what, the few NHL games he has actually played in. All 1 of them last year was a big help. Not to mention the game where he had to relieve Ozzie after 5 goals. I say we trade Lidstrom, Datsyuk, and Zetty for Malkin and get rid of Osgood, Howard, and Franzen (since he is hurt and all) for Luongo. Then bring up Larsson as backup. Yeah that's it. We are sure to win then. These threads always create some really goofy ideas. Separates the fair weather fans from the real ones, I guess.

How so? I hope that was sarcasm. He was supposed to be the veteran mentor to these younger guys on the Pens, and yet he still acts as though he is a testosterone driven twenty year old (probably because he is surrounded by them all the time). He needs to remove himself from those situations, but instead he is always in the thick of them. If he thought it was a good idea to get on top of a player with another teammate and throw punches at an opposing teams player while he's down on the ice, then he has a serious decision making problem.

I used to have some respect for this man years ago, but after last season and tonight, Bill Guerin's a *****. So when we see the Pens again later this season, we need to treat him like one.

I saw a black and grey one that looked pretty good at JLA. They have scarfs and hats too. Nothing to really get excited about though. Kind of disappointed especially after the Winter Classic and it's merch.

Williams scored tonight against Philly. So did Draper and Tardif for the 3-1 win. He looks pretty decent on the offense. Would like to see him in the future.

Just an FYI to any season ticket holders. None of us will be receiving a membership (discount) card for this season. Apparently, they decided in the middle of summer to discontinue this benefit. They will now be doing select "discount days" throughout the season to attempt to make up for it. I called my rep and he said he is anticipating more calls from this. Please, if you have season tickets and had the card last season, call your rep and express your disappointment with the removal of this benefit.

Season Tickets generally go from about $1000 to $5600 a seat depending on where you want to sit. You sit in the same seats all regular season. The old discount used to be 20% for season ticket holders.

Your logic is flawed, but whatever floats your boat. No taxation is a huge part of the overall dollar value. I think almost all pro sports players a spoiled brats that make way too much money, but that doesn't mean I don't see the overall value of the decision made by Hudler or any other player for that matter. It is a job at the end of the day, plain and simple. No one would work if they didn't get paid. I won't clean toilets or dig ditches for $100, but for $1,000 my tune may change. KHL, NHL, whatever as long as the checks are made out to Jiri Hudler. He will be back.

Hudler is an excellent player that will probably continue to put up great numbers over there because he isn't on a team with as much skill across the board. This is his time to shine. His leaving came down to nothing more than a financial decision. Plain and simple. If your job paid you $20 an hour and someone came up to you and said I'll give you $40-50 an hour to do the same thing, most of us would agree that to not take it would be stupid. There are no hard feelings on the Wings side and they will wait for his return. Holland has made this very clear. He is still a Red Wing. Gosh, you go to Game 7 of the finals and the bickering begins. 28 other teams would be more than happy to trade places with us.

Holland has said in a recent interview that if he doesn't work out by the trade deadline they would pickup another goalie to finish the season. Pearce is expected to play in Toledo. Larsson and McCollum are Grand Rapids bound for the year. I assume this decision would be to set up the Wings with a veteran goalie for the final run of the season. We'll be fine.
