Just got word from my rep that there will be no Joe Vision due to what he thinks is NBC and the rights to showing it. He said they do not want it shown due to the NBA Finals already taking viewers from them. Something to due with home viewers. NBC is becoming an issue.

I just got off the phone. No Joe Vision. No deal with CBC. Unofficial viewing party is at Hockeytown Cafe. Other season ticket holders, please confirm with your reps to make sure word gets out. Just trying to save a lot of people time tomorrow.

I made a main topic on this but I want everyone to spread the word.........There will be NO Joe Vision tomorrow. Please let everyone know so they do not drive out for no reason. Thanks.

Actually, they did sell Edge WC jerseys with fight strap but in very limited quantities. I bought mine from NHL.com for $349 plus discount codes. Got it for $289. I bought a size 52 and it fits perfectly. Usually buy large or XL depending on the replica jersey. 52 is a pretty standard size to buy. If you buy larges, get size 50, if XL get 52. I say we find our own douchebag that whines ALOT and make a team out of 2 guys that, if they were injured like Pavs, the team completely falls apart and nothing gets done. That is a great idea. I think that the stripes have been the best this whole playoffs, during this series...so far. And that is not saying alot, but it's still better. They have let them play hockey. This has been what Mickey Redmond has been complaining about all year. Let them play. The interference call on Ericsson was legit. The reason people are complaing is because the same call could have been made numerous times through out the game but was withheld until then. The Wings have had to put up with countless phantom calls, no calls, and poor calls just like many other teams because the zebras are doing a poor job. On the same note, we have to put up with little or negative media coverage for our team and an overrated Crosby, that has been pretty much shut down during the series, still makes headlines. This is while an AHL player, Darth Kader, has more goals than Malkin/Crosby combind. The Penguins are a hell of a team, but they are pampered and whine way too much. This is why they get no respect. THe Wings are constantly trying to improve and even when they win, they talk about how they need to play better and how they made mistakes. The Wings have class. At the end of the day, breaks, bounces, luck, whatever you want to call it, the game is the game. Keep it classy.

Calling ticket rep to set up time to kick his ass for false info. Well, in his defense, the computers were down at the time I talked to him. Is it just me or does no one care about the game anymore? NBC shovels off SCF games to versus, forces back to back games due to the no talent conan o'brien taking over the tonight show (cause that's important), no Joe Vision unless we can basically sweep, punishment for ending a series early, little press compared to other sports, etc. Seems hockey is still the black sheep of the sports world. I am suprised Illitch is not letting the fans get pumped at the Joe. Hockeytown and the Post cannot handle the amount of people that would normally go to Joe vision. Load of crap.

Actually, it does involve me since, I, like everyone else here is a member of these forums. It is very easy for someone who is not in the players shoes to say, "Sure, here is where they are staying and eating and hanging out. I'm sure they would love to be pestered every 5 seconds to sign this, shake that, and take a picture with their Grandma." The players are people too. There is a time and a place. I agree that at the venue and at practices are great times to do this. They are at work. It is what they do. Outside of there is where the disrespect begins. They are not at work. It is no different than the paparazzi. Do you want to work 24/7? I know I do not.

Have you ever wondered why the players do not do meet and greets, signings, or other promo stuff during the playoffs? I agree with wingslionstigers, that is what the regular season is for. Wait until the off season to catch these guys and you will probably have a much better experience. If you are just an autograph *****, then go for it. Since IUWingsFan has already let you in on where, they eat at Pancake House in the mornings across from the hotel. I must have a different respect for the players than most.

I actually do know. However, due to the fact that you just joined, and the comment from jvxp, I will refrain from spilling the info. I will say this though, during the playoffs, they are in a different mindset and not nearly as responsive to the fans at this time. They may sign, they may not. I think it is a mental thing at this point. Just from experiences in the past.

I agree. It's real easy to sit in your Mother's basement eating hot pockets and blog on your Mac at the fact that Kopecky sucks and that a wet behind the ears AHL player that showed signs that he's not ready for the NHL early in the season is a better bet than someone who has been there done that. I hope, for the sake of the team that 'kader does well, but to keep dumping on these guys shows just how fickle the Wings fan base is. Maltby, Draper, Kopecky, Meech, Sammy, and others that get ragged on in these forums all play a major role in the Wings team. I hear no one complaining when these players score goals, make assists, deliver big hits, and stop scoring chances for the other team. All in all, shut up! Enjoy the game. And be a real fan.

The dynasty is in the Joe. We've won cups, retired jerseys, and had many rivalries. Plus, they won the cup last year and can't even sell out most games. I don't think now is the best time for a new venue. People are dropping season tickets like crazy. My wings rep was filling me in a few weeks ago. Now is a great time to get season tickets if you don't already have them. Picks of seats all over the Joe. Anyway, just my two cents. Too many people are sold on frills and not substance. We have the greatest team in the world that was built in the Joe and you want to get rid of it that easily.

I went to the United Center recently. I felt like I was at the mall. No major changes need to be done at the Joe. It's like Tigers Stadium, the history is more important than flashy crap.
