I love games like this; where the score is only off by 1 or 2 and the lead keeps passing from team to team.

Ovechkin is hands down my favorite non-Wing player. He is awesome on the ice, I love watching him. I am pumped about going to Saturday's game because of it (though I will obviously still be cheering for the Wings)!

You are awesome and I agree 100%. It DOES suck that we lost, but.. are we going to win the Stanley Cup EVERY year? No. Do we still have an amazing and awesome and wonderfully talented team to be proud of? YES. I can understand being disappointed.. and I don't knock anybody for feeling that way.. but I am just excited that our guys made it as far as they did, injuries and all.. and I am looking forward to next season.

You are awesome. Even if you are a Ducks fan.. I'm proud the Wings made it as far as they did. Sucks to lose, but, honestly, we have a GREAT team that wins more than most teams. GO WINGS.

I have to work, so I can't watch. It'll be DVR'ed, though and I have people who are going to send me scoring updates and such. If I was home I definitely would NOT miss watching it.

I hope someone asks him why he picks up the little pieces of tape after he is done taping his stick. Very commendable, making less work for the janitorial staff at his arena.

Is anyone watching CBC? And did any of you see the 5 minute segment where we got the JOY of watching Crosby tape his stick and an analysis of EVERY MOVE he made while doing it?

While I doubt there is ANY fan base 100% classy, I think there can be a kind of majority rules mentality. And, it just stands to reason that some fan bases may be less.. volatile and rude than others. Also, you're on a Wings forum. We take care of our own. If you're looking for support, you might want to go back to some Pens boards or something. It's generally not our style to pounce on our own members in support of another team's fan (though, there are exceptions, I am sure).

See? That's one of the (many) reasons why the Wings rock it. In this playoff run, at some point or another, we've been without Rafalski, Datsyuk, Draper, Kopecky, Lilja, Ericsson, and Lidstrom (am I missing anybody else?). And we're still in the SCF? Realistically, if Pens had been out Malkin and/or Crosby do you think they would've made it this far?

We're still winning the Cup, guys! CALM DOWN!! Let them have their (very) shotty games. We had a few against Anaheim. Let em play poorly.. rest up.. and come out FIRED UP in Detroit so the Pens don't even know what HIT them. Let Dats rest some more so he will be even more of a firecracker when he comes out. It'll be OKAY.
