While I'm not in favor of benching Howard I do think his game since the end of period 2 game 2 has been weak. He is prone to mental lapse and soft goals it rally is the same thing that happened to cujo. He makes big saves then let's in a heart breaking softie. How much does this effect scoring , can't say but I'll bet it does some. If you don't think so maybe you've never played a team sport where a team mate appears to be letting the team down

Ok in light of the new CBa his hit is a little harder to take but when his contract was signed if he left early we would have been ok. How many players can a team have on ltir? What are the exact rules could hank and mule both suffer long term back issues at 37-38 and just walk away ? Is this the new loophole ?

First unless your last name is ilitch the only # that matters is cap hit cuz that is what effects team building. Now to address the " floating". I'll agree I sometimes see mule not where he could be/ should be and I do see it as a lack of effort but for every mule float I see a cleary fall or a kronner bad clear so yeah his game isn't perfect but no one whos last name isn't lidstrom is.

I agree I was pissed at his lack of effort , hell push the net off take the penalty shot its better then an empty net. We saw Dom misplay tons of pucks, dive back ,lay his stick on the line and make the save. You wanna get paid like the big boy play like the big boys. I'm a Howard supporter but this play was inexcusable. Edit to clarify
