I'm a little worried that abby might need 1 more season in grand rapids but i think he will do well. I also believe that this will be the year of the Flipper.

Like somebody else mentioned, i will forever remember his OT goal against the hawks whenever i think of him. That was one of the best moments of the year, imo. There were times when it was tough to not be angry with him but i will certainly miss him. It'll be real tough to replace him with somebody as competent for a similar price. Also, i don't understand why a few people are actually wishing for and sayin that he will fail without the wings system. Everybody should be hoping he finds success and happiness. Good luck, Sammy!

I keep hearing people saying that with signing hudler and leino, that even with hossa and kopy gone we are gonna be against the cap. Exactly how much are people expecting us to pay hudler and a relative rookie to the nhl?

I don't think i would be willing to see either cleary or filppula go in favor of Hossa. I honestly think filppula will eventually become a vital part of our team.

Good for sharp to apologize. I guess it's still not completely known if it was necessarily done on purpose but either way, atleast he made amends. I like the hawks team and would like to root for them but i find that the degree to which their fans hate us is too annoying to wish for much success for them. And while Crosby was brought up, he should have apologized. I certainly do not think that he did it on purpose but he missed the traditional handshake with some our captain and other very respected veterans and it angered many people. He should have just said he was sorry and it was an accident.

Hossa's best chance to win a cup next season still resides with us. He knows this and I have a pretty good feeling that he will be back and for much less than 7 million.

I am sure it's all of the stress he is going through having to sit out and watch games of such magnitude. He must be twice as nervous as any of us are. I am sure things will improve when we win it.

If you really think about it, it's pretty incredible how emotionally invested people can be in something they can't control featuring people they probably have never met. But my life will be ruined if we don't do this.

Everyone has been bitching for the last 3 years about the awful little hooks and phantom calls and now that the refs are not calling much everyone still complains. "oh, but they get away with MURDER OUT THERE!" Well look at last night, they didn't have a penalty until about halfway through the third period. Sounds rediculous, right? Well we didn't have a single one after about halfway through the first.

You want to know why Hossa probably left pittsburgh? Because detroit is a better organization than pittsburgh. Our players love it here, they love the coaches, the leadership, the management, everything. That is why players come here for less money. Why is it that they say players would want to play in pittsburgh? To play with Sidney Crosby. What a badge of honor.

I've always loved Gary as well. As a huge bonus, i will always get to hear his voice in my head calling Abdelkader's game winning goal with 18.9 left in the NCAA championship win for MSU back in '07.

The guy's a pens fan. If his stance was what he says it is, he wouldn't come here with an anti-wings name and and attempt to call out one of our best players for a single instance in a game where the wings absolutely buried the pens. He's butthurt and is trying to act like some unbiased observer to make it seem like it was obvious to the world that Z has no class. In a single post, he managed to thoroughly reveal himself as a complete ****. Fascinating, really.
