If you like, I can give you an extended list of guys I would have preferred in Detroit who's talents are about the SAME as Wisneiski's....let me know if you would like that. I have never hated TooToo- I was actually in favor of the signing which ( PUSHING THE ECHO BUTTON) why I like the Huskins signing. Big gritty guy, stands up for the team without the trailer trash shenanigans that go along with a toddler like Wiz and what, 5 million cheaper. YES, Yes, please. he isnt going to win the Norris, but he isnt a cheapshot artist with several dirty suspensions under his belt. Character wins.

I actually would love to see him in front of the net on the PP, especially if we have Brunner on the point. I think the overload of offense on the PP is drowning it. Stick 22 in front and get him to claw, scrath and fight for a position there. He is a big strong dude who does have the ability to score goals for a role player......May work.

No one has mentioned that he is a turd. he publically dissed detroit so why would we want him? He gets suspended over the blow job gesture to Sean Avery. Then he elbows Clutterbuck after the game is OVER and gets 8 games. Another 8 games for a head hunting job on Seabrrok....and yet another for one against Doan. heacts like a 10 year old at best. As for his numbers, the last 3 years, he is a minus player and has had only one season that was offensively solid. I would rather MANY, MANY defenseman over this childish little weasel.

I loved his style of play...You would have never known it was his first game. I have seen him at TC in Traverse City so I was excited to have him called up. He impressed me!

I actually thought Colo looked pretty good last night, everything considered. He had about...6 minutes to try and learn the system in Detroit, meet the team, gel with line mates and play. Signing him are the LEAST of Detroits worries .

Some people rise to the occasion when the "number 1" is out. Malkin is a very good player when Crosby is in line up- he is the BEST offensive hockey player in the world when he is out of it. Krons and Nick played such different games that Kronwall has never really been given a chance to show off what he can do. We will soon find out but I think Kronwall is ready!

i agree- I am NOT, by any means a franzen fan....but where are we going to find someone who can put 25-30 goals in the net for his pricetag. He frustrates me like no other player but its like talk therapy ( I yell at the screen, it makes me feel better) with that being said, I believe we are actually in great shape. We can get our roster down to be cap compliant next year without too much grief....think of Phily or the teams that have to shed 8 or 9 million. Thats a disaster.....we need a few key guys to step up (Brunner, Quincey ect) and we have a solid team despite what the critics say.

It basically goes over every facet of the propsal. I am not taking sides here, but after reading it I feel like the NHL and Owners have made some consessions and that its a fair proposal. I am an eternal optimist, but I think we may just have some NHL hockey this season after all! Get it done boys! Happy New Year all

Its hard to be average (when healthy), you are consistantly at the top of the game GAA- 2011- 6th 2010- 5th Hiller is average, Vokoun is average, Giguere is average. Jimmy is a very solid goalie.....

That was on the organization...and bad luck. There is no F'n way he should have been called up. He wasnt prepared...he was nervous.It was a set back and it really hurt him and his confidence. I have seen this kid at Training Camp and he looks solid there. Goalies really dont flourish until mid to late 20's so im not worried. Howard was average in GR....so I wouldnt throw in the towel on him yet.

If it was up to me, here would be the top 5: Dats Bert Fil Brunner Z I know we havent seen a ton of Brunner, but the guy has got some juicy dangles and a sweet shot! I do not want Sammy in the shoot out....(I was going to say even more than I dont want him on the point on the powerplay, but thats wrong...I REALLY dont want him playing the point on the PP)

I think we have some good young talent..both Oulette and Paterson are playing for Canada, Frk and Faska as Propects for the Czechs. I know we are a ways away but right now Tatar, Nyqvist, Smith could be playing up here if we were a weaker team. There with a few guys ( Jurco, Lashoff and Mrazek) I can see here in the next 2-3 years.

Hey All- Interesting thoughts while we keep up hope that the lockout will end and the Wings will be skating again. Anyway, here is a question. I remember the barrage of critisim that Holland took after he "did nothing" during the Free Agency period. Some questioned his committment to the team...some called for his job. Some ranted that he "missed the boat on guys like Suter and Parise" and called him out on adding people like Tootoo and Sammy. Kenny must have got a really good tan because he took a ton of heat this summer. Looking back, has your perception changed of what he did. The GM's meet and talk. They are directed by the owners on what to do and how to do things. Do you feel that like a lot of GM's, Holland knew a lockout was probable and didnt want the team to be over the cap, or to tie up funds that may not be availabe. Do you think this had nothing to do with Holland's choices at the trade deadline and stand by your assessment of him? thoughts?

Actually got a call today from one of the Event planners. I won a Game Used Michael Leighton Jersey but I wasnt in my seat when they came around......kinda cool. Wish it was one of the 9 wings that were there...but it will do! I sooooo want this lockout to end! Being front row, on the glass....ahhhh, what can I say, I MISS HOCKEY!!!
