Good point. The last few games I have felt that Abby has increased his energy and drive but to be honest, he has lacked a lot of hunger this year in comparison to when he 1st came up. Miller looks so strong on the puck and so willing to do it all..and it shiws- he is having a career year. I think it's common for young guys to assume they don't need to try as hard once they "have made it". I'd like to see him play some gritty, spirited hockey........then I'll start some props for him.

The only thing I disagree with you here in this post is that you saying " Carter can only make his team better" WE don't ow that....I am sure Columbus painted that picture with a broad stoke as well that they now regret so Ik disagree......BUT I agree we could use a pure goal scorer. All very good points. Perhaps with twitter and youtube, Carter's bad ass ways are much more public. I remember that summer that Shanahan wanted out...but we werent saturated with it 24-7. I still contend that Carter hasnt shown me anything i like thus far but interesting that they are both 27...still young as a person and a player. I think this is a very different situation.He ended up marrying her...this wasn't a notch in his belt over a teammate.....the dude fell in love. Shanny did not have a bad reputation or thought of being a prima-Donna. He alos wasnt injury proned and has never been accused of not having a ton of charactor or a huge heart. To suggest the 2 are comparable are kinda ridiculous.

Bobby Ryan would NOT command a lot steeper price than Carter. Carter is 6.2 next year, Bobby Ryan is 5.5..Unless Bobby Ryan gets a hatty in the next 30 games, rest assured, Carter's pricetag is bigger. As the saying goes, One bad apple does spoil the bunch and Carter is a selffish prima donna who is not a team guy. Detroit does not subscribe to the bullshart that Carter brings. No thanks. Carter is a prima donna....and he is injury proned. He has been really disrespectful to the Columbus organization and is STILL whining about getting traded there. I'd take Nash over Carter in a heartbeat and I am not that big of a fan.

I'm sorry but I'll be the person to say that Hudler has been very solid and has scored some big goals for us. He is clearly stronger on the puck and he is a much better player in his own zone. I am kind of tired of hearing how we need to trade the guy and that he is useless when he leads this team in scoring. As for saying Fil can't stay on the puck...lol....what? Someone else said it but he is probably the second best holder of the puck on the team. He was the guy that kept that second line afloat when Z was really struggling. He has been fantastic for this team. Lastly Zetterberg. I am sure that nobody is more disappointed at his lack of offense then he is. He is a team guy, a class act and you can see his frustration....he wants to contribute. I actually thought that last night may have been one of the best games I have seen him play in a while. He had that killer instinct that won him a Conn Smythe in 08. I hope it was a turning point in his year. Guys like Zetterberg don't come very often...he is the heart and soul of this team. I don't want him going anywhere.

LOL...How is this a draw? Abby has 26 PIM...6th on the Team. Helm has 4 PIM.....19th on the Team. I know you are trying to stick up for Abby here but this is not a draw ( IMO) since this has been an issue for Abdelkader in his career ( taking silly and untimely penalties) Just sayin'

Couldn't agree more. He has been a disappointment all season....and although he has stopped with the idiotic penalties, he makes really poor decisions with the puck. He is lucky to get the ice time he does IMO>

Its a landslide...Howard of course Flip has been pretty awesome at both ends of the ice and would be my runner up, given how far he has come this year!

I know you have a hate on for E but really? Ericsson is a better defenseman than Kindl. He just is...even if you think he sucks. I think Commie adds a physical dimension to this team that we need and he is not afraid to stick up for anyone or get his nose dirty and so far, he has played as well as Kindl in the last few games.
