I am a fellow Canadian who travels across the borders at least once a month The last two games I have attended ( Vancouver in december and the Kings last month) the border people have given me a hard time, asking for 2 pieces of ID, where I am going, to see my tickets, how muuch money I have ect) Just to be on the side side, wait for round 2 but DO NOT take your brothers ID. I believe in this team and have for 25 years. I believe that, without sounding like a therapist, the team can actually LEARN something from last night. They can learn that you have to play every game. You have to have intergrity and you have to have will. As much as we are embarrassed as fans, imagine how the team must feel today. There isnt a single guy on that team who doesnt feel terrible about the game- I know this because that room is built on CHARACTER. Anyone who doesnt feel ashamed wouldnt be playing for this team. This is a team that can win the Cup....and now this is a team who got boo'ed off their home ice last night and they will dig deep. They will find a way. I believe!

Since we have learned that Ozzie won't return and has suffered another set back, it occured to me that this doesn't frighten me as much as I thought. I would absolutely like to see Ozzie back for the playoffs because his veteran leadership- he has been to the show and won it all. In saying that, I have to give a ton of props to MacDonald. I know his stats are a bit lackluster but I think he has been very very solid for the Wings. This guy doesn't seem to have a panic button. He is ready to go in any situation and he has come up huge for us when needed. I am not just speaking of a few critial saves in the last game against the Pens but when I have watched him in previous games, I like his style of play...he is a much better goalie than I initially thought. Anyone else feel like jmac deserves some props? Also, could he be a starting goalie or a reliable 30 game back up at this point?

I would love this cinderella story to work out for J mac. No one has ever really given the guy a chance to prove himself- I hope detroit does!

Completely agree..the music they used last year really imapcted your emotions....wish they would have kept it!

This year, you have about six legit teams that could win it all....I think the Wings have as good of a shot as anyone! My prediction...Vancouver goes out early. I know..everyone will think I am an absolute nutjob for saying so but they have peeked too early. Kesler gets burnt out (happened last year) and without depth, fatigue will kill you. Nashville, Calgary, Dallas, Phx...even Anaheim could all vie for the 8th spot I think any these teams could really pressure the Canucks. Ill eat crow if I am wrong, but it would be the 1st time that a team lead all year and were golfing after the 1st round.

This...has some merit but I don't think anyone here believes he is playing even close to his potential...then again, who is? Helm is the one guy that plays hard EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. As for Flip, he is in with the herd of underacheiving wings right now. Take a spot in the line Fil!

I am...and Franzen has looked slow and disengaged in every area of his game. Despite the two assists he got last night,he has been brutal. Watch the guy on Wednesday because all I see is a ton of lollygagging and zero physicality! I dont tend to rag on players but he has been the most disappointing over the last 10 games. At least hit somebody with that big body....
