Agreed- sweet goal by Flip! I think it would make the top 10 best Wings goals. Dats has had a few that makes you feel like you are a bobblehead! One of the most unreal goals was the tee-up by Lids and Homers perfect redirection. The timing to do that is unreal. Its so hard to pick one because there are so many that make your head spin!

I dont se Lils going anywhere....as for Lebda, he hasnt played in 6 games and I doubt we will ever see him in the Wings uni again. The Big E has been much better and Lebda is the the odd man out. See ya Pylon

Ok, I'm not belittling YOU here...but playing a professional sport and selling stero equipment has a different level of intensity. The guy is pumping blood like crazy, trying to catch as much oxygen as possible, probably through his mouth, going into boards and taking/laying hits. I am pretty sure no one was trying to "take you out" at the stereo store. Its not just the level of pain, its the level of energy and punishment your body would have to endure to play NHL hockey with a broken nose. Just sayin'...

He is good enough, right now, to win a Stanley Cup with this team!!

I actually think they sat him to protect him. Philly is dirty and Carcillo and the other goons on that team specifically target guys. Lils would be a target due to being out for a year. Thats just my opinion but there is no reason they would play Lebda over Lillypad when they are playing Ozzie, who would need the extra support. Lebda was awful and I hope thats the last time I have to see him in a wings uni.

I agree with what you are saying about Dats being more dangerous more often. Its clear that Z if "off" for some reason but I guess I am tired about hearing how he needs to step it up when he is second in points and plays great defensively. He was awesome in the playoffs last year and he really seems to rise to the occasion when they play excellent teams ( I am thinking of Pitt) Anyway,it just floors me that if a guy or a line doesnt produce for a few games, they suck. Zetty and Flip together, I think, will work...just as it has in the past.

Ok seriously....Hank has played SIX less games than Pasha and has 1 less point. This constant "Zetterberg needs to step it up" needs to stop (unless you're gonna call out th entire team). As for Flip, he has 35 points in 50 games and went on an huge streak when he was meshed with Z. Flip and Zetty also play great defensively- both of them, which cannot be said about Homer or The Mule so you cant just measure points as a yardstick for success. 10 days ago the Zetty, Flip, Bert line was the second coming but they dont score in a few and they are thrown under a bus...sheesh!

Like you, I stood up and thought...%$#^, Flip has broken his wrist again...Oh Man. I wonder if the league looks at that hit because it was dirty. I was so happy to see him play the next shift. The Mule looked like he really got strung but I wasnt as worried because he didnt go to the dressing room and he was smiling...phew.

+2 Lets not start dogging Lilja at all. He has been great after not playing for a YEAR and has given the D a big boost. He has played much better than most expected and has been solid since his return.It allows us to sit Lebda the pylon, which for me is the right thing to do. He has always (throughout his career) been guilty of turnovers, but thats the flaw of his game, and every player has one. In return you get a big guy who always finishes a check and blocks shots all the time. As for stewie...well, he was, until the Olympic break, the best D on the roster in terms of consistancy. Above and beyond that, he rocks anyone that comes streaking in with there head down so I am totally cool with both these guys.

Despite the blunder last night...and Jimmy wasnt great (but as Mickey said, EVERYONE has a bad game and cant be brilliant every night) we are playing great hockey. In the last 15 games we are 12-2-1. Honestly...and I have said this all year, I dont see any team in the West being able to take 4 of 7 games from us. Now that everyone is healthy, we have a legitimate shot of going very deep. Every team has a weakness, whether that be SJ's history of &^^)*&* the bed or Chicago's goaltending....there isnt a clearcut favorate. The way that Nashville is playing, I would prefer not playing them in the 1st round but other than that, BRING IT!!!

Totally agree...Homer is having a great season and I think he will be back. I doubt we will see Malts again..and honestly, thats a good thing. Hudler in replacement of Willy would suit me perfectly!

I imagine Osgood gets one start, just to give Jimmy a break. I too thought it may come against the Oil but perhaps against Columbus instead. Holland was on the Fan 590 in Toronto and he stated that the team would like to get Ozzie some playing time, one or two games before the playoffs but then he also said its hard not to start jimmy when he is playing so well. These comments came when we were tied with Calgary but man, if something happens to Howard (injury ect) we cant go in with a guy who hasnt started a game in 2 months

Jimmy has already spent 5 years in Motown so I would assume he would take a bit less to play for a great organization and one that he has supporters in. Holland believed in him when most didn't and that won't be forgotten. I think that its more difficult on a goalie to go to a new team than it is any other player because of the pressure. I imagine he is proud of what he has accomplished here (and he should be) so I think he will be here for a while.

Big D- Zetty, Flip, Mule Trashville- Erat

If we play the way we did last night, I actually dont see anyone taking 4 of 7 games from us. I like how we match up with most of the teams in the west!

For the rest of the year, Zetty should listen to that 5 minutes before puck drop! It definately raises your heart rate and would get anyone pumped for a game! What a great moment!
