I have to say that I really like the vintage look of the Winter classic jersey. I think I am in the minority but I would love to see it as an official alternate jersey- maybe because it really combines the red and white.

:thumbup:I love how its all "luck and horseshoes" and no mention of sheer determination. Of course, its lucky, but only because they played EVERY second..or every .2 seconds to win it!

I get it..but still, without injury, Val would have gotten 50 pts this year easily. Olesz has never proven he can do anything. I agree we need a sniper but not at the cost of a reliable and versitle solid 2 way guy.

You are nuts???? Olesz has really done nothing in Flordia....and Flip has been very solid, plus he is rock solid in the playoffs. Why all this talk about trading Flip? he has something like 14 points in the last 18 games...I dont get it.

Val is worth every penny he gets paid. As Babcock noted earlier in the season, he was the best Red Wing before he got hurt...and since he has been back, he has played very well. Go Flip

You want a shot at Taylor Hall sweepstakes? lol If we let Osgood have the next 3-4 starts, I doubt we make the playoffs because its such a logjam in the West. Howard is playing better...way better hockey right now- he is giving this team a chance every night. Osgood lets in 3 goals on 6 shots and thats unacceptable. The back-up job is to be ready to step in...and Ozzie's stellar play has clearly moved him into the back-up role. GO JIMMY -
I think Bert is a priority and Kenny is not gonna wait until Lids decides what he is gonna do to sign Bert IMO.

I was one of the few that liked this signing at the beginning of the year an have rooted for Bert throughout the year. He has played great for this team and was the only guy who could find the back o the net in December...he scored some big goals for us. For what he brings, he is a steal for the $ and he clearly wants to be here. I hope Bert gets to finish his career here because I think he is an asset for sure!

They have enough leadership...I didnt anticipate Doan at all- Bergeron was a bit of a surprise as was the lack of Stamkos but I am glad Richards made it.

I also feel badly for Jimmy- The guy has totally won me over and played lights out last night ( and many nights as of late) and we couldnt get him the win. I hope every teammate is praising this kid because he has been great! Go Jimmy and Go Wings!

I thought he did a bit better than I anticipated we would. After missing 26 games, I agree- his timimg was WAY off, and he didnt capitailize on a few opportunities he had but.... I thought he shone on the second line, playing with Ville (who was a pylon) and Eaves. He was more physical than I thought he might be and he definately looked ready to go. I am glad he's back! He will be awesome with a few games under his belt

How on earth can you say that Homer needs to go when he leads the team in goals and has EXCEEDED all expectations this year. Man, what does the guy need to do to get some kudo's. He takes a beating every game and even when he is not on the score sheet, he screens and distracts the goaltender. He know he can't skate, but he is the best in the NHL at what he does.
