We need POINTS...We do not a "project", a fourth line centre, a guy with some potential or a goon. I don't want any of these guys. Perhaps on the team we had LAST year, Id be into Malhotra but we need a Kessel or a Tanguay. We lost three guys who put up a ton of points- Hossa (71), Hudler (57) and Sammy (40) and nobody on that list has been proven capable to do that....even if they are playing next to Flip and Mule. Get rid of lils and free up his 1.3, use the 3 mill we were gonna pay for Huds and sign Tanguay to a 2 yr deal. Eaves?? Really guys?? Has it come to this???

I wouldnt mind Kessel at all...and most guys want to go to a winning team so more are willing to take a salary cut to have a chance to don the Wings jersey. Lils plus the money that was allocated to Huds would be enough I think

I get what you're saying and its a valid point, but it still detains the Wings from getting what we need.....Holland is a master and he may be able to trade Huds but who will be left when all this s*** gets resolved? I mean, people are talking about Nicol and Hinote, niether who are an upgrade from Huds....

Huds has kinda handcuffed us here because if the league does if fact side with detroit and negate the KHL offer (since Hudler was a RFA) he is on the roster...but we wont know that until the greivance is dealt with) Hudler has lost a bit of my respect with this BS move- going to arbitration and signing with Dynamo. I would love to see Tanguay come to Motown. I know Kenny has said that we will trade a D man after camp so if its Lil's than that gives us an extra bit on $ to play with. Give him a 2 yr contact, the second year more lucrative...2yrs, 6.5. If that wont work, Id like to see Moen or Kotelik. No Sammy, No Huds, No Hossa....we need some goals here!

Hudler, 25, was one of 20 players who filed for salary arbitration on Sunday. Hudler and the Red Wings were in the process of negotiating a contract before the hearing took place between July 20 and August 4. By filing for arbitration, Hudler could not receive an offer sheet from another team. Hudler earned $1.15 million last season while posting career-highs of 23 goals and 57 points. WTF- For only 2 mill?? SurelyKenny was willing to pay Huds that??

This thread has to stop... let it go. When Hossa left Pittsburg, every Pens fan was upset that he left and every Wings fan thought...Hossa didnt owe them anything. I agreed. Hossa led the wings in scoring this season. He played well for us throughout the season. I NEVER have been a Hossa fan but i appreciated what he contibuted to this team. In the playoffs, he was terrible. I think he was overwhelmed, maybe hurt...but we will never know. Hossa is about 1 of 6 Wings that WAY underproduced in the playoffs. We don't have threads to talk about what a loser Hudler was, or what a goat Dats was (before he was hurt). No one menttions how brutal homer was.....and if Hossa would have re-signed, i am guessing this would have all been water under the bridge. I am glad that we wont resign him. I would hate to be in a stranglehold against the cap. As for Hossa, the Wings made a "NON-NEGOTIBLE" offer to him for 4.5 a year. Hossa is, in some markets, worth double that. He was offered double that last year from the Oil. Lets get serious- that was a dog's offer and yes thats all we had but no good business man (and Hossa is in a business) is going to take that offer for 4 years. NOBODY...nor should he. Komiserik, who scored 6 goals last year made more money. Anyways, i am done my rant. Good luck Hossa in Chicago and good luck to Dale Talon on trying to get under the cap next year. As for the sour grapes, its tired. I hope Hossa gets what he is looking for in Chicago...after all- we didnt really make him a good offer to stay.

This list is a joke, especially Zetterberg at 26. He is a top 10 forward in the league EASY and the best/ second best 2 way player on the planet. Crosby is #4 at best- OV, Malkin and Pavs taking the top 3. Wow, i am stunned by the blantent stupidity of some people.

The only big trade made so far this year was Pronger to Philly. I kind of expected more trade action by now...especially with some of the big boys out there on the market. Of course, I am most interested in where Hossa is going.... but I secretly hope Kenny goes after Cammalleri. I love the way he plays and have always wanted to see him in a Wings uni. Also, with big name guys like Heatly, The Sedins, Gaborik, Havlat, Kessel, Kovalev ect, I want to see who lands who and how that may affect som eof the up and coming teams. I think Heater will end up in NY or St. Louis....and maybe SJ with Marleau going to the Sens. I think Hossa will go to the Kings and Kovalev will resign with the Habs. Anyone else have a gut feeling about where some of these guys will land?? C'me on Wednesday....the suspense is killing me!
