this year the sharks are trying to top themselves and become the 3rd biggest choke artist of all time. With their history of choking in the playoffs it would only seem right that they would blow a 3-0 lead that would eventually lead to the team being torn apart in the off-season. will it happen? probly not but as wings fan why not be as optimistic as possible with nothing to lose.

watching the red wings practice today made me think about the wings goalie situation. they all of a sudden have amazing depth with Howard, Larson, McCallum, and Pearce, but with at least 3 if not all of them having the potential to be #1 goalies in the NHL not all of them will last their career with the team. so my question to you is who do you think will be the guy to come out of this race and be the wings #1 guy for the next decade or so? :goalie2:

does anybody know if larson & mccallum are practicing, im assuming they are since there are 3 or 4 goalies but not sure since i havent seen them in wings gear yet

Babcock says that every cup winner will have to go through adversity at one time or another, the wings being down 0-2 is just more of it in an adversity filled season. weather its playing with an AHL team, being down 2-1 in a series, or a game 7 the wings have responded and responded with a fury. i don't expect this situation to be any different. add in the fact that they will feed off of the officiating and i would be "Shocked" if the wings don't go back to cali with a 2-2 series and some worried SJ players

i dont expect Yzerman to go to tampa bay. think about it he would have to move his whole family(with his kids in school) to run a team were the ownership is in shambles and a possible phoenix-like situation is over the horizon. if(and when) he leaves to go to another team it will be to a team that has good owners and is on the verge of becoming a powerhouse but needs a leader to guide the ship and get the right players on the ice. I think he will stay in Detroit for the next 3-5 years, he would rather wait and make the right decision rather than jump at the first opportunity and regret the decision.

does anybody know where i can get the black jersey, not the practice one, that i have seen fans wearing. I dont believe the wings ever wore them in a game. i cant find a picture of it but i believe they were black on the torso then had the white stripe and then red to the bottom and black down the arm to the white band then red to the wrist, i live in wyoming so hockey stuff is hard to find, any info on wear i can buy one online would be much appreciated.

vs having the first 2 game to themselves isnt the worst thing, that means we wont have to worry about Mickey having any trouble with his heart traveling across the country

excuse me for being superstitious, but if anybody else is like me they put 2 & 2 together and saw that the octopus swing failed and so did the wings. i know they have nothing to do with each other but being superstitious those are the stupid things you look at. i mean does it really affect the team if you dont have your lucky socks on during the game? no but thats part of what makes being a fan so fun

for someone to post the highlights from the FSD feed after every game for those of us who have to watch the playoff games on VS.

is it just me or will you be a little upset if they have dave strader do play-by-play for the games on NBC or VS(if you didnt know he does all the coyotes games on FSN arizona) if he does wouldnt it only be fair if they put Mickey Redmond with him to do the color commentary?(only for the games FSN Det isnt doing) and seeing as how the two of them worked together calling wings games for a while they know they have some chemistry. just my $0.02
