Max Domi is very interesting to me, not sure if its because of his dad or because he is talented.

Just I be clear I don't want him in Detroit if he wants to be paid like and elite dman, but in order to get him the wings would probly have to offer: Franzen, 1st, Sproul.

Depending on the other team in the trade, in order to get anything of value in return we will have to offer one of those guys so take the one you would want to keep more and trade him. Why would the other team want a prospect we value less than others. That being said Nyquist probly has more value now that he has Stanley Cup Playoff experience so keep Tatar and hope he has a better future.

Hopefully he will be able to mentor Jurco, Nyquist, and Tatar for at least 2 full years and we will have another seamless transition like we did when Yzerman left us.

Like I said, I don't think it had any effect on the game what so ever but I'm very superstitious when it comes to playoff hockey and its just something that I personally would have changed.

It might as well of been game one. Just make sure you never use a GDT graphic from a loss again. In not blaming you or saying you jinxed us or anything like that, the wings were due for a sloppy game. But it just sets a weird mood on the board.

I read through this thread again and I know that this post will seem like in trying to say that I was right and the people I was arguing with we're wrong, but I that is not my intention so please take this in the spirit in which its intended. I made the point that anything can happen in the playoffs and a few people jumped on me saying that it can't and the wings don't have the roster to make any sort of run in the playoffs. Yet here we are up 3-1 on Chicago and even I am surprised at what this team has done. The Wings have the skill, grit, and goaltending to compete with anybody, it was just a matter of putting it together at the same time. It is a nice change to feel what the fans of all the teams that knocked off the heavily favored wings in the past 15 years. I'm so proud to be a hockey fan in general because its the only sport where every team has a legit shot to win a championship. The Stanley Cup Playoffs: Anything is possible.

Why does nhl.com have the Ducks/Hillers record as 2-2-2? Wouldn't that mean that they have played 6 games?

My question is, would Ericsson and kindl have progressed like they have if Lidstrom didn't retire. The extra responsibilities may have been exactly what they needed to take the next step.

After watching the replay multiple times Abby never touched the guys head. It was a shoulder to shoulder hit. If you watch carefully when Abby hits him his arm is tucked into his body and when Lydman is moving away from him his shoulder is touching Abby's bicep. It's hard to say whether he intended to leave his feet or not. When Abby hit him he started out somewhat crouched and pushed with his legs and he may have jumped but it didnt happen till after contact which seems to me only happened because of the force that was pushed back into Abby. He was already moving upward and the momentum from Lydman moving towards him could have propelled him upward and off his feet My guess is he gets 1 game for this but it's only because of how vicious it looked.

Next man up, I'd like to see lash in on Saturday. I have no faith in white or colo
