if im not mistaken, isn't Conner on a two-way deal, and wont have to pass through waivers?
-
Eklund will have an E5 rumor about Doughty being traded to Det for Hudler and Doughty signing a 10 yr 30 mill contract(or something like that), people will believe it and we will all be mad at Kenny when nothing happens
-
eklund saying eaves has signed as well
-
my guess it holland tries to trade, not offer sheet, for bogosian(sp?), and he goes after white, kaberle(sp?), and jovo
-
it will be their season opener against the wings, i'll getting tickets for that one
-
the bleacher report hasn't always been the smartest place to look when it comes to hockey(IMO they are in Eklund territory) but someone recently posted what they feel the Wings 2016-2017 roster will be, and if all the current prospects reach their potential the Wings will be extremely good for the next decade or so. Heres their roster(and get ready for who they pick for the GM): Zetterberg-Tatar-Pulkkinen Franzen-Datsyuk-Jarnkrok Filppula-Jurco-Cleary Abdelkader-Helm-Mursak Konwall-Smith Stuart-Kindl Almqvist-Ericsson Howard Pearce HC: Babcock GM: Yzerman!!! Not sure how reliable this site is or if this writer is just a wings & drury fan and this would be his wet dream but, if there actually is something to this I dont want to see anything for more than $1.5 mill http://www.thedetroitsportssite.com/2011/06/14/detroit-red-wings-rumors-chris-drury-could-be-this-years-mike-modano/2680

TSN has it as well www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=370169

it would probly be best if a mod would throw a "?" at the end of the thread title until it's confirmed of denied
-
I know but, the boards have been pretty dead since the draft so I figured I would spice it up a little
-
could holland throw a $7 mill offer sheet his way? yes. but I doubt it happens, holland covets draft picks way to much
-
we could get 2 top 4 dmen Brad richards and another top 6 forward with that

53.7 Awarded Goal - If, when the opposing goalkeeper has been removed, a member of the defending team, including theCoach or any non-playing person, throws or shoots any part of a stick or any other object or piece of equipment at the puck or puck carrier in the neutral or his own defending zone, thereby preventing the puck carrier from having a clear shot on an “open net”, a goal shall be awarded to the attacking side. For the purpose of this rule, an “open net” is defined as one from which a goalkeeper has been removed for an additional attacking player. The goalkeeper is considered off the ice once the replacement player has entered the playing surface.

Since it's a wish list I say trade Hudler to Philly with a 3rd round pick this year and conditional 2nd/3rd round conditional pick next year(based on Hudler's point production and/or the Wings making it to the Finals) for Matt Carle and a 4th this year. Sign Brooks Laich to a 4 year $10 mill contract(he'll probly want more but I can dream can't I). Then sign Wisniewski and Pitkanen to 5 year $22.5 mill contracts. Then sign Hedberg to a 1 year $1.5 mill contract to replace Osgood. I'm not saying you intended to start one, or were apart of it last year. I just remember there being a huge thread about it last year and it made me post a pretty good sized rant about how frustrated some people on here were making me. I dont want to go through that again
-
by bickering, i mean lets not have a 20 page thread involving people saying: hes overpaid, or should have taken a bigger discount for the team. stuff like that. Lets all just be happy that the greatest defenseman ?ever? playing for our red wings for another year
-
this year can we just be happy he has decided to keep playing instead of bickering about his salary.

I believe it's already been decided that he will not be back since he wont sign a 2-way deal and the wings will not offer him a 1-way deal. Even saying he will go to russia before signing a 2-way deal with detroit. I would post a link but im on my phone and don't feel like doing that much work this early.

Why don't you go sit in the corner.

Don't want either team to win, so i'll say Vancouver loses in 7
