lol.. i'm not disagreeing with you either. I just think that part of the reason the Hawks melted down so badly is because of their own inexperience. Consider that there are more of them than coach Q and while he shouldn't lose control of his club, part of it is on them too. I mean regardless of how young they are, they're still professionals in this league and it looked like they forgot that. They're what he has to work with and if they go all psycho-baby on him in the 3rd what more can the guy do? He can't bench 'em all, although he definitely should have sat that idiot Versteeg. Q's emotions got the better of him and he expressed them inappropriately but maybe that was to help take the focus off the kids and put it on himself. Who knows?

Yes... another goalie thread... what's wrong with getting Ozzie some long overdue snaps? As for Conkblock, I dunno. If this Howard kid is any good it might be a good idea to bring him up and get him playing regularly esp... if he's going to be our goalie in the future.

I guess you can't really blame the guy. Impartiality is pretty difficult to adhere to especially if it's your former team on the receiving end of a major ass whooping.

The Hawks getting blown out in game 4 doesn't make them phonies, but they're kids. What did you expect from them really? They have a talented club but they're just not at the same level as Detroit. This being their first playoff experience in some time, it's only natural that emotions would run high. They melted down and suffered for it but that is a learning experience and my guess is they'll be better for it in the long run. That being said I'm hoping we kick the crap outta those kids on Wednesday... it's way past their bed time.

I dunno, this is kind of a slippery slope. I think someone somewhere should be able to criticize bad officials for bad officiating without getting fined. I guess it would be different if the officials had any accountability but they don't. I can understand getting heated over a bad call but, to characterize a stupid penalty taken by a team that was already unglued as the worst in the history of sports is extreme, if not comical. I agree that it was really childish of Quenville to pop off at the lip like that but at some point the league should really do something to iron out the kinks in it's officiating system. You can claim human error only so long. If your humans keep erring and suffer no consequences, what's their incentive to correct the problem? If they can fine coaches and suspend players maybe they can find something along those lines for officials too.

dude... you should care... if malkin and crosby are your bread and butter look out when they get shut down.. and it will happen.. it happens to everyone that plays Detroit... The thing here is that Detroit gets scoring from EVERYONE .. say it with me.. ev-ery-one... not just Franzen, not just Zetterberg, Datsuyk or Hossa or Hudler even. If you don't care that Detroit is very likely to render your scoring players irrelevant then why are you hear barking about a Pens victory that will likely never come to fruition? I'll tell you something... if we meet in the finals and Malkin and Crosby get shut down... your Pens are toast.

OMG that is soooo my life. All I do is talk hockey and everyone around me talks basketball. We even have an AHL team here and no one cares and even if they did care, it's not like they'd be able to find it on tv... VS? what's VS... we're like the only people next to bull riding fans that know what the hell VS is... sad...
