    Salary comparison for Hudler

It's f***in funny how many people here can shift their stance on Hudler on a dime. On one hand, he's an amazing talent, who scored 57 points with zomg no minutes! and no help!!!! Then when it's time to value him, we say he's worth 2 mil? I swear at LGW we need an intervention to get us to stop undervaluing players. I laugh when I see peoples straight faced figures for some players. If Huddles is what we say he is, in that he can score with no minutes or good linemates and is in line to be a top 6 forward who can put up 75 points... ...then he's not worth 2 mil. He's worth 3 and may get more from the arbitrator. Wake up.

    Blackhawks to be power house?

We weren't forced to send our starter packing. We may be getting back Lilja too. There's also the thing about us that we're a hell of alot better than them too so if our circumstances were the same we'd handle it better anyway.

    Blackhawks to be power house?

Are you f***in high?! Yes, obviously he is. Brian Rafalski playing with a ringette stick is better than Regehr, who is so hugely overrated it makes me want to puke. I watch every game the man plays, an unfortunate side effect of where I live and when I get off work and he's nothing special. Where this snowballing opinion of him being a good defenseman came from I'll never know.

    Blackhawks to be power house?

Yeah and the sky is green and water is dry. Rafalski breaks up plays better than 9/10 of the league, has pictuer perfect positioning in his own end, is a great passer, has some of the best vision of any player. I'd like to know why you're so dead set on calling him average when he's not.

    Blackhawks to be power house?

That's absolutely rubber room insane. Regehr is massively overrated and Sarich is crap.

    Blackhawks to be power house?

Once I saw you call Rafalski average at best I just stopped reading. Like I said, we'er spoiled. Rafalski only catches unnecessary flack here because we expect him to be Lidstrom. He's far better than average.

    Blackhawks to be power house?

Pretty damned good. You know how much any other team envies us? Rafalski is one of the best in the league. And only on this forum would that sound crazy to anyone. Just because he's not Lidstrom, we think he's horrible. He's a fantastic Dman. Ericsson has shown in his first season that he might become one of the leagues best in a few years and was great this season. Kronwall and Stuart, for a second defensive pairing, can be as good as it gets. We're just so overly critical of every other Dman who isn't Lidstrom because we're spoiled. You see this so often with great players. Fans aren't satisfied with anyone else.

Let's also take into account the Wings mailed it in and the Flames busted their asses until game number 82 for the division title. When our D clinches up and wants to play, we can shut down anyone.

Sutter's been drinking from the elbow river again. Bouwmeester's an awesome player but best 2-way Dman? Ummm...I think the best 2 way defenseman is wearing 5 for a team in a diff shade of red.

    Blackhawks to be power house?

Take it from me, a Calgarian, that they aren't even the best D in the conference. Dion Phaneuf might be the most overrated blue liner playing hockey today. Robyn Regher is overrated as well. He's average. Aucoin's gone bye bye, though Bouwmeester is a top 5 Dman in the league. The CGY defense doesn't scare me. It was God-awful last season and although Bouwmeester will make it better, they're nto a team of defensive forwards, and they're not going to jump into the top 3 D teams out there. Which I think goes Detroit, Boston and Jersey, probably in that order.

    Blackhawks to be power house?

I'm not worried about our goalie situation. Osgood has proven he can play, last season only happened once and we've been rock solid defensively every year outside of that one. Our goalie at least proved he can play when it matters.

    Blackhawks to be power house?

The D is still the same and the G is worse. That's what will keep them back. That's the backbone of any hockey team. This happens yearly. Whoever goes apes*** in FA and signs huge name forwards, if they already have good scoring, everyone thinks they're a contender.

    A deeper look at Hudler

The per minutes played thing is so perspectively skewed. For all we know, someone like Datsyuk may perform worse with less minutes. Just like we could guess Hudler would perform worse with more minutes. It could go either way, point being when given more ice time, against a different caliber of player, it's not automatic that he'll continue his point per minute pace. It gievs coaches incentive to try him out and see but it's no guarantee, and if they see a reason not to move him up, I'll trust them over most arm chair coaches.

    Thanks for the Season Marian

Bingoooo. This is where you contradict yourself and prove you were wrong. You weren't arguing that I was saying it was less stupid, you were saying I was justifying acting like Pens fans. Nice little slip up there. Oh and sorry for the caps lock, apparently it still didn't drive a simple point home. I should've added periods and mashed the space bar between words so you could more slowly and thoroughly interpret the content.

Oh my god. This is like explaining colors to a blind man. I never said they had a good reason to be mad or even a legit reason at all. It's just less stupid than what Pitt fans are doing. Now I can tell you fancy yourself an intellectual, whether justified or not is up for debate, so if you can't understand that, it's clear you're just out to start a shouting match. Or you're too proud to just admit you wrongly assumed something. Which I think is the case.

What, was "oh, ok" too much for your pride to take? Your entire stance is still built on me justifying criticizing Hossa. I didn't justify it. More of a reason doesn't equate to a good reason or sometimes even a reason. There are different levels of wrong you know. You're just confused and lacking perspective.

*facepalm* at least we have more of a reason does not equate to we have a good reason.

    Samuelsson

I`m thinking whoever our sixth Dman is, whatever right handed forward plays on the PP unit unless it`s Stuart. Or Hudler.

    Thanks for the Season Marian

I`M NOT CONDONING THEIR BEHAVIOR YOU THINK I`M JUSTIFYING THEIR BEHAVIOR WHEN I`M NOT AND IVÈ MADE IT CLEAR, AND YOU JUST IGNORE MY OTHER POSTS I`M NOT MAD AT HIM, I WISH HIM THE BEST, I WON`T BOO HIM AND SAID NO ONE ELSE SHOULD BE MAD Sorry but you seem to be a ******* moron so I had to put it into terms you could easily understand. That or you`re one of the dime a dozen internet attention whores lobbying for a public pissing contest.

I know you were trying to be sarcastic but actually, you did miss alot. You missed the part where I said i wasn't justifying their behavior. I don't think it's ok. Some people just live to pick arguments.

    Blowing up the Habs...

Ladies and gents, this is a clinic on how not to run a hockey team. This is why other teams look like a circus compared to us. They panic. They have no loyalty. They can't manage the cap and they don't care about defense. It's an easy, early indicator they won't be a winner. Proof even long time professionals and intelligent business men can get owned by the concept of a cap. Is it me, or is Kenny the only one who really, truly has this league figured out? Short of mabe whatshisname in NJ, his name escapes me at the moment.

    Thanks for the Season Marian

There are good fans all over for every team. It's just a question of quantity. I'm playing the odds and aiming at the majority, who are bandwagoning losers.

What kind or Shape for Next Years FA market?

I can guarantee you Kovulchuk's not content playing there. His choice of words, his body language, all the smoke we see that we're assured isn't coming from a fire. Let's just use our gut instincts here. The man wants out of Atlanta and he said everything but "get me out" last couple trade deadlines. If this guy came to Detroit he'd be even more of a perfect fit than Hossa. I've always said he was a bit of a "score when we'er eliminated from playoff contention" guy but you know, I won't fault a guy for not scoring in ATL. They're awful offensively and he's not getting a hint of help anywhere. He'd be great here but man when Lids goes we need to get a great Dman and not another forward. And I don't want Nash here. The man is an overrated puck hog who has that mentality that we've just recently dealt with that maks him think he has to make every play on his own.

    Thanks for the Season Marian

We shouldn't. Sorry to sound arrogant but we're above them. Pitt has nothing on real fans like us, or the fans in Boston or Minnesota. We shouldn't act like Pens fans at all.
