I agree. Despite losing Hossa, I think we are in better shape than most of the contenders in the west. Chicago will be good but I feel like that will just give the wings something else to play for this season, trying to win the division for what the 10th straight year? Anaheim will be good, but like you said losing Pronger, as much as I hate the guy, is going to hurt them.

We will definately have to trade/release a defenseman because even if Cheli is gone we will have 8 and even if we don't resign Hossa I dont think we can keep 8 defenseman. It sucks but either Hossa, Rafalski, Kronwall or Stuart won't be on this team next year.

I don't really know if this would be a decent idea or a terrible one but I say try and make 3 good lines so you don't need to worry about who is out there against Crosby. This way you would have scoring and defense on all four lines. It won't happen and Babcock is a genius so I will be happy with whatever he comes up with. Agreed. Just play hockey, don't talk about the other team. I know the wings aren't perfect but it is pretty rare that they lose their heads. Like you said Crosby and Malkin are just kids so you can't really fault them for losing their heads and taking stupid penalties. Lets just get out there and get it done in game 6.

True Kronwall makes some costly mistakes, but I think we are spoiled having Lidstrom on this team because the standard we hold defenseman to is superhuman.

Agreed. Looking back, despite all the complaining about calls and the doubts most fans were having during the series the Anaheim series was by far the most enjoyable from a viewing standpoint compared with the relatively easy wins over Columbus and Chicago. The Pitt series has the potential to be even better, especially since this is for the cup. Of course if we lose I might change my tune but if we do pull this out it will be made all the better because it was a long competative series.
