THIS! In a perfect world for game 5 we would put Datsyuk in for Homer and no other changes IMO. I hate to say it because I love the guy, but Holmstrom is pretty useless in this series... Also, how can you say Leino has done nothing? 2 assists and plus 2 thats more than you can say for a lot of wings right now. He is also great at creating scoring opportunities when he has the puck down low. If Datsyuk can't go I say put him on the 2nd line with Hossa and Filpulla. I agree that Kronwall has not played well, but neither has Rafalski or Stuart (despite scoring the goal) all of them had really bad turnovers that led to breakaways.

This plus Malkin. We really need Datsyuk back to play on against him...

I am assuming this is not just for a season but for building a dynasty Forward = Datsyuk...what kind of wings fan would I be if I said anything else? Defense = Ericsson, again homer opinion, but if I am building a team he seems like a great choice being so young and he obviously has amazing potential as a two way defenseman Goalie = ...I would say Ozzy because right now he is the best in the NHL, but if I was building a team, I'd have to go with Hiller from Anaheim because he is going to be so good for so long.

I think Cleary is letterable, the way he had to try out to make the team and how far he has come is pretty amazing. Plus he seems like a leader, pretty vocal I mean. Also I wouldn't be suprised if Filpulla got an 'A' someday, he is becoming a very major part of the team.

True Crosby looked very average and Malkin did not do much...but this was just one game, lets not get carried away. We got lucky quite a few times, Pitt just wasn't getting the bounces tonight. I do think Zetterberg will outplay Crosby again this series, but don't expect him to be silent this whole series.

A lot of posts mentioned intimidation, I don't really think intimidation is as important as actual style of play. Teams that are built around defense (Anaheim, Nashville) are the teams that give the wings the most trouble. More skilled offensive teams (Chicago, Pittsburgh) do not worry me as much because the wings benefit from playing an up tempo high scoring game. What was that stat they mentioned on FSD? The wings have won some crazy ridiculous number of playoff games in a row (30?) when scoring at least 5 times. Chicago has a very good team but this should be a high scoring series which I have to believe favors the wings. Wings in 5.

My first thought when I saw these lines was that this might mean Leino is in for Abdelkader, remember the Leino-Datsyuk-Hossa line from the Washington game? Although as much as I would love to see Leino in, Abdelkader has earned the right to play IMO.

In Holland we trust. I love Hossa, but if the cost of resigning him is Fil and Hudler I just don't think it makes sense.
