Anyone else just see Larry Murphy on the NHL network? Shouldn't he be like...in Phoenix? Edit: Or the studio in Detroit I suppose getting ready for tomorrow?

I love hot pockets! Thanks for reminding me of that! I am so happy I looked in this thread!

He made the move our Filpulla can never pull off! I can't tell if that is funny or depressing...
-
Agreed, its not going to happen. It would take some ridiculous trade to free up the cap room and I just don't see that happening. Also, if Lidstrom retires there is no way we don't sign a veteran defenseman.

At the very least he will hit some coyotes in the ankle with his slap shot

lets go wings!!!!! :siren:

Yes. You would have to completely do away with the idea of divisions if you adopted this format. I would kind of like that though because frankly playing the same teams 6 times a year when we only play Toronto once is ridiculous. It especially screws teams like Detroit, Nashville, and Columbus that are in the western conference but closer to all the eastern conference teams than we are to the west coast. You mean the trophies that teams refuse to touch anyway because of superstision?

Forgive me if I am not jumping for joy but remember how last year we started the season with a Franzen-Zetterberg-Hudler 2nd line and we had to move Hudler down because he couldn't do anything playing in the top 6? People have brought up the point that he racked up a lot of points playing only 3rd line minutes but remember when you play third line minutes you are also playing against weaker players. I am not saying Hudler can't be a good 2nd line forward, I am just saying he has not proved it yet. Having said that though, he is relatively young and its likely that he has not hit his peak yet. Combine that with the fact that we were desperate for any type of offense for most of the season I think it would be nice if we could bring him in without losing anyone too important.

ESPN also has a picture of him up...but I mean he did have 0 points and was a -2 so you know, clearly first star of the game.

When is training camp exactly? I might have to go up there this year.
-
I feel bad for the fans of these other teams...its really painful to try cheer for teams that suck
-
ok if it takes this long to review a goal you should just go with the call on the ice.
-
That is exactly what I thought when I saw it.
-
I totally agree. I love everything about this franchise, its good to take a minute and just appreciate how lucky we as fans are.

5 on 3 for Nashville coming up for 1:50 thanks to Kopecky's dirty hit
-
Wow can you believe some people actually picked NJ to win the cup... what the heck was I thinking?
-
I think the reason that ESPN ignores/bashes hockey is because its the only major sport that they don't broadcast, so what good would it do them to promote it? If hockey was actually broadcasted on ESPN they would work much harder to promote it because it would make them money.

Which NHLer would you like to punch in the face?

My thoughts exactly. -
That was pure win. How funny is it that until I watched that I completely forgot Jason Williams is even on this team?

I take full credit for Howard's shut out, I am clearly his lucky charm -
I will be there and I am in.

I will be there and we better freakin win. I feel pretty confident because the last time I went to a game Howard had his first career something I can't say because it might jynx it so I am hoping to bring him good luck again! -
Thanks for clearing that up! I litterally lol'd on that one

Way to go Pavel! I have a question, I know +/- isn't the most reliable stat ever but how is Kesler, who finished the season +1 a candidate for this? Stall and Datsyuk finished a + 19 and 17 respectively, neither of which is outstanding but they were both 1st on their team among forwards. Kesler, on the other hand, had only the 10th(!) best plus minus among forwards on his team. I am in no way trying to discredit Kesler I am really curious about this as I have not seen Vancouver play very much this year I don't know much about him.
