I have to say the title of this thread is just excellent, nice work.

If New Jersey got Kovalchuk would they be the favorite to win the cup? They have allowed the least number of goals of any team in the NHL and that would give them two absolutely elite forwards.

I would prefer if they kept Meech. Not that he is outstanding but I am impressed that he has played a lot with Stuart due to injuries and really hasn't looked that bad. Also it may not mean much but I believe his cap hit is a couple hundred K less than Lebdas. Also if we end up waiving/trading a couple forwards Meech gives us the option of an emergy 4th line winger which is important because we have had a couple injuries this season...

This. Its not pretty to watch but our offense is just so much better with him in the line up.

I just went to FSD + and its saying this game is not available in my area...did that happen to anyone else/why would that possibly be the case? Its not on vs is it?

No kidding. I just rewound that and watched it again. Kronwall clearly got punched in the back of the head and not only that but the ref was staring right at it and nothing. This right after the roughing call on Rafalski after he got punched in the head. Unf***ing believeable. I mean its one thing to call cheap penalties on us but then to not call s*** that could seriously injure more of our players is completely ridiculous.

Is it just me or did that guy punch Rafalski in the face? Yet Rafalski is in the box..

That is a possibility, but Miller and Williams can both play center, plus as much as I would like Filpulla on the second line I expect Babcock will split Zetterberg and Datsyuk when Franzen comes back and put Filpulla back on the third line.

wow thats a great article. Also another reason to be optimistic, we have only won 1 out of our last 6 games but we have moved up in the rankings. I think that means we only need like 5 more wins on the season to guarantee a playoff spot.

That really sucks man there is nothing worse than having a bunch of morons sitting near you ruin the game. My worst experience like that was probably a few years back when I was at the Joe for the CCHA finals and these four guys sitting in the row in front of us who were in their 40s were drunk out of their minds screaming at the players and swearing at the top of their lungs. The worst part is there were so many kids in the vicinity that were 10 or younger. Luckily(?) it got so bad that they were asked to leave the building and of course none of them were sober enough to drive so I just hope they didn't hurt anyone on their way home..

Please please please trade Lebda for a draft pick (or a hot dog) to clear the roster space. He would only be the 7th Dman anyway, why not keep Meech who is cheaper and actually doing ok playing with Stuart?
