Its interesting that Lidstrom and Stuart's PK numbers are so different...don't they usually kill penalties together?

I agree, Cleary has been non existent offensively, and its not like he is getting chances and just missing or getting robbed, he is just not getting or creating chances. I was actually thinking about this quite a bit today and it seems like Babcock has tried Cleary-Zetterberg- and everyone else on that line, maybe its time to move Cleary down just for a game or two and see what happens. I know he wants Cleary on that line to be a net front presence but that isn't really working right now.

Really sucks for Campbell, I read he may be done for the season. I wonder what impact that would have on Chicago possibly attempting to unload him in the offseason.

I am very excited about Nyquist he has been lighting it up for Maine this year. 1.65 points per game as a sophmore! I just wish he played in the CCHA so I could go watch him live.

So him being in the top 20 in goals makes him indisputably one of the top 2 players in the world? That doesn't really make sense to me. I am not saying he isn't great because he is, I am just saying he is not that much better than the Sedins/Thorntons/Heatleys/Kovalchuks/Iginlas etc of the world and I would like to see them talked about more.

No. They are not indisputably the two best hockey players in the world and even if they were it would still be annoying for the media to focus solely on them.

So in the hypothetical 4 divisions, what is the reasoning behind the two Toronto teams being in seperate divisions? Also, how would the schedule work? Does it do away with "conferences" all together so you play the teams in your division a lot and then you play the teams from the other three divisions equally (once or twice a year?)

Last night on NBC they showed a video on Ovechkin highlighting how intense and outwardly emotional he is with his goal celebrations etc. After the video NBC moron #1 asked NBC moron #2 what other player he would compare to Ovechkin in that regard, without hesitation #2 said "CROSBY!" Then Jeremy Roenick (yes Jeremy freaking Roenick was the voice of reason here) tried to point out that that response made no sense because Crosby isn't known for that all and #2 just rambles on about how Crosby in beating Ovechkin 1-0 in stanley cups and thats all that matters and therefore Crosby is superior. I think my point is that NBC acts like they are the only two hockey players in the world. In that example he could have picked any current or former player from the NHL and he goes with Crosby. IMO they talk about both of them way too much.

This wasn't during a hockey game but one of the NBC announcers said 90% of Canada's population lives between their border and ours...I am still trying to figure out what the hell she meant by that. And at Edicius yes, I believe he referred to one of the players as "The Sidney Crosby of women's hockey"

I am wondering the same thing. My thought is that NBC shows like 6 hour blocks of olympic coverage and they will show the game during that block sometime. I thought I read somewhere else that the first US game is at 3 (Eastern) but I am not 100% sure on that.

Well Calgary got 0 points last night so we actually moved up a little in the playoff race. Thats the nice thing about being in 9th place, everyone around you sucks too which makes it much easier to hang around.

Honestly I think its more likely that Ovechkin puts together one unbelievable season and breaks the single season goals record than the all time goals record. Neither is going to happen but a 93 goal season actually seems more realistic than him having that many 50+ goal seasons in a row. Man those numbers are just insane.

I have to say the idea of a coach is lazy and he sucks thread after a loss is a nice change of pace from just seeing x player is lazy and he sucks.

Actually I agree that Brad Stuart was god offal in the game, I was simply letting you know that he makes 3.75 million a season.

Stuart makes 3.75 a season not 4.5. If you are going to start an X player sucks thread after a loss the least you can do is get your facts straight.
