Yep, this is exactly where challenges would come in handy and would help prevent the situations where a power play goal could have happened and help prevent to some degree where the game is one of those "decided by officials." I would love to see challenges inserted much like Football.

LOL, that`s freakin awesome. Don`t agree with the faking but him scoring the OT winner after that act against the Devils is great. If anyone watched Flyers/Devils hockey the last few decades has seen many a time the Flyers outplay the Devils only to lose to the trapping boys. NJ has long been the Flyers nemesis and this year with the Flyers getting the best of NJ during the regular season isn`t something that happened that often. Go Flyers! Beat the Devils.

What I "think" what bothers people here about the officiating is not that the wings have got called for penalties but when they call a penalty on the wings in certain situations when any number of penguins players have just committed the same infraction 4,5,6 times just before that. THAT is what kills everyone watching. Playing the Devil`s advocate here, do you really think officials would just come out and say "Hey, we are gonna screw a team over with a call(s)." Of course they won`t. And to be honest, if you think boxing is the only sport that has it`s...let`s call it ethical problems, then you are not looking at how the human race really is. esteef was pointing out an example in what happened in basketball and because it didn`t suit you you, you shot it down. Point is, this type of problem can, and has, happened in every sport. And when some things are just obvious and make you go "hmmmmm", what do you expect? Like I said, playing devil`s advocate here. I have to agree with esteef. What he didn`t mention in his argument is that Malkin also swung his stick at Zetterberg twice at the start( the first was a good whack and the second went over Z`s head). That alone should have garnered more attention/additional penalties and is totally uncalled for. While I agree that Neidermeier may have deserved something as well, the Malkin/Z was more blatant with the stick swinging and how Malkin tracked him down. Malkin should have beensuspended for the 1 game and I would say the same thing had the roles been reversed and Z was the instigator.
