I like how much protection they have. It looks like a cool idea. I DO realize they are prototypes, but there is something really ugly about them, but then again, maybe its just that the guy who is modelling them in the pics looks like he is wearing black pantyhose.

So when is it going to go our way? These last three games have been really disheartening, especially because for the first time this year it seems to me that the Wings are actually back to playing their style. What do they have to show for it? 2 points out of a possible 6, and still a point behind LA with the Kings having a game in hand. Our fortunes will turn soon.....The next 5 games are against Western teams in the playoff race - I know its early, but don't you think the Wings HAVE to get 7 or 8 pts in these next 5 to stay in the race?

I can't get on Ozzie for the 3rd goal, but that 2nd Backstrom goal - while Stuart got owned - seemed to go right through him. The difference with Howard and Osgood right now seems to be that Howard is making that big save when the team needs it.

I'll go with Eaves. If Holland doesnt resign him he'd be crazy, this kid is starting to fit in really nicely. He's an RFA after this season, right?

I should say - at least this is my understanding - I got some explanation like this when i went to the HHOF during the summer a couple of years ago.

Ive seen it twice at the HHOF, but hate to be the bearer of bad news - if you see it during the Summer months, its the replica. The players who have just won the cup get their days during the summer, so they plug a fake one in its spot. As far as a I know though, during the season they have the real one on display.

Disgusting hit. Suspend him for the year, playoffs, and then have a hearing to allow him back when they feel he is ready for the AHL. I'd go the Bertuzzi route here, don't kick him out of hockey for life, but make him sit and think long and hard about this. Whats rich is that its none other then Patrick Roy pursuing criminal charges against the kid - not sure if anything will become of that, but its good to scare him at least. Watching the hit makes me feel sick. I really hope Mikael Tam makes a full recovery.

I dont doubt Borrows' story at all. The evidence is everywhere that this ref had it out to get him. Good for Burrows' for saying something - though it might have done his team more good if he mentioned something to the media during the intermissions or something before it happened, then we would all know for sure. Either way, this Auger is right up there in my bad books with Dennis LaRue - the two worst refs in the league. Have fun reffing preseason games and the odd Lightning vs. Thrashers game, you loser.

Just heard on the local radio that the Calgary Police are now investigating the restaurant owner for over-serving alcohol to the Oilers party. Hahah, ouch.

Article has some more details about the incident, along with a bit of a character investigation on this restaurant owner. He is now taking money for interviews, claiming that he will send all the money to earthquake victims in Italy. I'd like to see the tax receipt for that one. No way. If Stevens gets at Domi right there, Domi would have been demolished. I know Domi is a more accomplished fighter, but pure rage in Stevens would have accounted for something.
