Strange, I get the audio, but no video at all.
-
adthe.net has a feed up, but its pretty choppy. In fact, its unwatchable.

We are starting to see this move so much, its not even that impressive anymore. Granted, I can't do it - but you'd like to think these kids would spend time on some real moves. I guess kids will be kids. P.S. Why did that video replay it 10 times?
-
Yeah, the biggest thing I have noticed has been his shot. It seems off right now, but everything else seems OK. He still seems a little sluggish, but then again so does the whole team. Not worried though, he'll come around.
-
I'll give them 10 before I start really being concerned. 20 games is a quarter of the entire season, which is waiting a little long for me - but then again, playoffs have been made by teams getting hot down the last 20 games of the season too (Blues, Pens last year). Saying that though, I don't anticipate getting too freaked out, I bet the Wings come around in the next 3 - 4 games.

Sorry. Double Post.

The Leafs will eventually come around and be a better team this season, but I still stay they miss the playoffs. They are playing worse then they really are right now, IMO. But dont get me worng, I love seeing them lose.

more good news!

McCollum I hope they Carey Price this kid - I want to see what he can do after Ozzy's contract is up.

I agree completely. It didn't make sense to me at the time, and it still doesn't. Quincey looked pretty damn solid in those playoffs in '07 when Kronwall was out, and after seeing him then, it was pretty clear that he could play above Chelios, Meech, Lebda, and possibly even Lilja in the near future. I have no idea why they decided to waive him over some of the other guys - even if they couldn't give him top 4 minutes (which seems like a bulls*** story, based on the fact that we had Lids, Kronwall, Rafi, Stuart, and Lilja..no way Holland would have ever guaranteed him top 4 mins). It seemed like a similar situation in the 07 playoffs and we saw in last years playoffs with Ericsson. I thought we were going to see Quincey full time in 08. For all the great moves Holland has made, I think he just f***ed this one up royally. EDIT - Can't stand seeing the title with his name spelled 'Quincy'...I think I even read it in a couple posts too.

dude...that game was last night!

I cycled through that link there, pretty good. But seriously, Peter Forsberg looks nothing like Ryan Reynolds.

Interesting but...Veso Toskala;s twitter reads "Coach is helping my confidence by playing against a minor league team, so I'm getting the start against Ottawa" Hahahahah. http://twitter.com/vesatoskala

Hahah! I just honestly just curious about the numbers.. last I checked it was 128 to 108 or something like that...

What was the final vote count? Last I checked it wasn't that decisive.

Will You Be Surprised if the Wings dont make the Playoffs?
Yzerfan1999 replied to RyanK's topic in General
As for the discussion - YES, I would be very surprised if the Wings missed the postseason - as would everyone who watches hockey. This team is good, easily good enough to make the playoffs. These two don't matter all that much, if anything it should put a chip on the Wings shoulder and make them play tougher back home. Lots of these guys had a vacation mentality for this trip, and the play on Friday and Saturday really proved that. No worries here. I'll wait to see where we are after the first 10. -
The Toronto Maple Leafs, who put together some pretty decent teams in the late 90s and early 2000s. It was only until 3 or 4 years ago that they tanked. I've heard that excuse WAY too many times. I am not saying he wont ever get the the HHOF - the Toronto media would never stand for that. I was replying to mindfly's post claiming he deserves the call from the Hall just as soon as Lidstrom - that is ludicrous. I see Sundin and Lindros as very comparable to get in the Hall, though Lindros' personal stats and achievements where much more significant.

What the hell do we do now!?

I don't think they get a BIG name. Lots of UFAs for the Wings after this year...RFAs they will need to re-sign Helm, Adbelkader, and possibly Eaves. If they did, the Wings F's would be Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Franzen, Filppula, Cleary, Draper, Leino, Abdelkader, Helm and Eaves. Holmstrom, Maltby, Bertuzzi, and Williams will all be UFA's - who knows which of those will get a contract, but I bet Holmstrom gets a 1 year - 1 million dollar deal or something like that, unless he retires. It seems like the Wings could potentially need a whole 4th line next season. Lilja and Lebda will be UFA, both of which I dont see coming back. My guess is that Lids re-signs for 1 year at a time, maybe around 4 or 5 Mill? Does that seem reasonable? are there any Cap crunchers around? how much does that potential leave us with if you resign Eaves, Helm and Abdelkader, possibly Holmstrom, and Lids at 5 mill? like 3 or 4 million in cap space for a D man and two forwards? or am i totally off. ??

No, he's not. Sundin never won a cup, nor did he ever win a major personal trophy during his career in the NHL. He only had a single hundred point season, and never scored 50 goals. He may make it to the hall some day, but I doubt he will be a first balloter.

Oh, and I think it is Mikhail Anisin (The title of the video says its Anisin & referee vs...) Height 5'4 Born in 1988. Hahah http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=96278

Who is that filthy hobbit?!

That last commentator was tooooo much. Hahahahahahhaha Anyways, yeah..damn he is a good fighter. Always seems to get that first pop in there before the other guy can think about it. V Nice.
-
I loved Dandenault....I can't believe there is no NHL team in need of a guy like him. I guess he is getting squeezed out by the cap - but yeah if he singed for under a million, i'd take him over Meech or Lebda anyday.

Well now that you say so...i guess the book is closed. Sorry, it doesn't work like that - evidenced by the fact that the media is still talking about, and most importantly -so are the courts. Its obviously worth discussion, apparent by the 9+ pages in this thread so far. As long as the Wings have a guy like this on the team, I think its perfectly reasonable to discuss whether or not this guy has payed his dues, or whether or not all parties involved have fessed up to their wrong doings. And there was no 'tiny-violin' playing...this is a legitimate discussion...that doesn't even make sense in this context.
