No he hasn't. Thats why these court filings are still happening - nothing has been settled. I guess I don't blame Bert 100%, but I do think Moore hasn't got enough compensation. Its time for guys like Crawford (who I personally think it the biggest piece of s*** behind this) and Burke to come out and apologize, or at least take some of the blame. Its becoming more and more obvious that those two clowns were behind most of this.

So if Kronwall had been sucker punched and had his head driven to the ice by Dustin Byfuglien after his hit on Havlat (headshot, though in todays league, legal - also could have been interference), Kronwall would have been a ***** and he would have deserved it? Kronwall is a great hitter, but even a Wings fan has to admit a good chunk of the hits are questionable - either leaves his feet, charges, or throws the occasional elbow. Yet - the guy never fights? Do you think Kronwall is a ***** and he is going to get what he deserves, namely a career ending injury? Awesome collection, though when it said 'Stanley Cup Collection' i was under the impression they were game worn, or had something to do with the finals. From what i gather, they are a bunch of signed jerseys with SC patches from players who won the cup? Or am i missing something.

And for all you claiming "THIS WAS SIX YEARS AGO"...you are trying to argue that it was an incident that happened in the past and we should all get over it? Sorry, but try telling that to Steve Moore, who is still not back in the NHL. The fact that the court battle is still ongoing also proves that this is an ongoing issue. I am not saying we should all hate Bertuzzi, and he should never be forgiven - but this incident is still fresh in everyone's minds, hence the debate we are having today. As effective as Bertuzzi, MAY be for the Wings this season, he still stands out as a blemish on the Wings roster. But hey, its a hockey move - Holland and the Wings brought him in for points, not based on his past - a reasoning I am not sure I agree with.

While I never take him all too seriously, I do enjoy reading his blogs and predictions.

Agreed. I never disliked the guy, its a bit of a business for him - obviously he is going to report on any rumour he hears to create "buzz", you just have to take it for what its worth. I respect his hockey knowledge, and I actually do think he knows some important sources. You just have to take it for what its worth. He's a good hockey blogger otherwise, and he keeps things exciting.

Yeah I am not 100% sure, but I follow him on twitter and he was going off all weekend about a HUGE DEAL that was going down between Edmonton and Philly, and he was the one talking about Frolov to Chicago for Barker and Versteeg.

Get smaller and less experienced for the playoffs! Sounds good to me. Not. Frolov would be a nice player to have, but if the Wings want him, they should wait till next offseason. Holmstrom's contract is up then, and so is Lidstrom who will most likely see his salary drop by at least a million. Not to mention Bertuzzi and Williams will be UFA's as well. I can't remember the last time the Wings traded a regular roster player - not to mention the calibre of Holmstrom DURING the regular season. Holland doesn't seem to like to mix it up too too much before the playoffs.

I wouldn't have given him 5+ million - he hasn't proven anything yet. Boston wins this one...2 first round picks for Kessel? And save me the 'oh the weakest draft pool ever' in 2011 s***....thats two LONG years away for some 16 year old to show his stuff - there is ALWAYS half a dozen guys who turn out to be legitimate NHL stars.

Yes, he was injured, but he still only had one goal before he hurt his foot. Also, keep in mind Hossa was injured too...remember the whole shoulder injury that is keeping him out for half of this season? Not making excuses for Hossa, and still I know Dats was hurtin', but I haven't seen him perform to the level of Zetterberg in any post season thus far. If that changes, the Wings look good to take 2 cups in 3 years.

It will all come down to the playoffs. The Wings will get their shot at another cup, but I truly believe our success will come down to Pavel Datsyuk performing in the postseason. Zetterberg and Franzen have proven they can step it up - and I know people are going to get their panties in a knot when I say this - but Datsyuk was plain lousy in last seasons playoffs. For all the s*** we gave Hossa for not scoring, one goal in 16 games for Pavel just doesn't cut it. He was able to shake the non-playoff performer persona during the 2008 run, but in my mind - no matter how much I love the guy - he has something to prove this year. The weight it put on Zetterberg was obvious during the finals.

I wouldnt have believed that before, but after seeing what Lowe has done in the past 9 years, I completely agree. NHL GMS must love having that guy around...he makes the worst deals. He practically handed the Ducks the Stanley Cup by giving them Pronger for Lupul and Smid. To this date I find it hard to believe that the best deal Lowe could get for Pronger were those two plugs. Look at the Heatley deal, THATS how it should be done when you have a disgruntled star. You wait until you have a fair offer, and trade him OUT of the conference, not to a conference rival for a couple of mediocre players. Lowe is lame, and even though Tambellini is officially the Oilers GM, everyone here in Edmonton knows whose actually running the show.

I like the deal for both sides, but I actually think the Sens did the right thing waiting to make this deal...Cheechoo and Michalek were really important players for San Jose, and the Sharks gave up that depth for one player - granted he is a franchise goal scorer, but given that the Sharks STILL have to dump some salary, they may be one injury away from real trouble now.
