Its becoming apparent to me that you spend the majority of your time perusing YouTube looking for Penguins/Crosby highlights. You should take this stuff over to the Pens board - you'll get more of a reaction. Like I said in your Crosby thread from earlier, its getting tiring over here.

No its not hard, but try and work out the real point of my post; there have been too many of these in the last year, so give it a rest or seriously consider asking Matt for a sub-forum. Next time the Wings play the Pens and you actually have something relevant to point out, then you can roll around like a pig in s*** with your critiques of Crosby. Everyone has heard the same arguments about the guy over and over, but for some reason people find the need for a new one of these every week or so. P.S. No one in this thread or even in this forum claimed Crosby was perfect. I've seen Crosby make plenty of mistakes, stupid plays, and dirty plays. The only difference is that people in this forum seem to think that its necessary to make a thread for every dumb thing he does. Either join a 'anti-Crosby' forum, or just spare the rest of us and stop pointing out every minor injustice Crosby makes. There have been so many of these in the last year that I feel like a sift through more s*** than actual content relevant to the Detroit Red Wings.

Matt ought to start a new forum for 'Crosby Bashing'. You guys spend the same amount of time assessing his flaws and dissing him as some people do in the 'Water Cooler'. Why not, huh? At least the rest of us would be spared from seeing the same old threads over and over again.

To me defeating a team in 6 games isn't all that much to brag about. Its one game off 7, and the Stars scared the s*** out of me when they won games 4 and 5. It was a good series. At the same time though, I could see it pissing Stars fans off.

I don't get it - Vokoun is making 5-6 million over the next 4 years. How does that clear up cap space?

You guys didn't watch the 06 Stanley Cup Finals, game 1? Roloson exits the game with a multi goal lead only to have Conklin royally blow it with one of the worst give aways ever to Rod Brind'Amour behind the net with less then a minute left. And I am not ACTUALLY saying he is a jinx - he has progressed a LOT since then - just pointing out he has been on 2 cup finalists and not won, hoping its not bad luck! Oiler fans here in Edmonton still HATE him for that.

i love him too...but i am still fearful of his Stanley Cup finals jinx. Oilers backup in 06, Pens backup in 08 and no cups. Hope he can break that this year.

I was at the game tonight - really fun to watch. Even though Hossa didn't register a point, he really impressed me. He seemed to make something happen every shift. Brad Stuart looked good from where I was too.

Some people here are ******* demented. I am convinced. We fewer then 20 games into the season after winning the Stanley Cup and we are 2nd in the West only to San Jose. Do us all a favour and stick your 2008 Red Wings Cup DVD in your DVD player and take a deep breath before you jump ship. In the last 24 hours I have seen threads bashing Cleary, Babcock, and now Rafalski along with usual's for Lilja and Sammy. Its these threads which are making the quality of this forum take a complete nose dive.

Take a look at the response to this thread and this whole board's reaction to Crosby - way more people hate the guy rather then defending him. You guys get yourselves so worked up about him that every little thing some one says against Crosby warrants its own thread and the guy who says it is a frickin' martyr and your new hero. Its ridiculous the amount of attention you guys pay to Crosby seeing as you guys have such a vendetta against the kid. Give it a rest. Crosby is not marketing himself, the NHL is marketing him. He is a great player, and possibly the best in the league - its about time you guys learn how to ignore the media zurring and just watch hockey. p.s. Anyone just listen to Don Cherry on HNIC? He actually made an intelligent point about this issue.

Semin is an idiot. He isn't even half the player Crosby is. This doesn't even make sense - Sometimes you should just keep your mouth shut. My prediction - Crosby lights up the Caps' next time they play. The last thing you should do is give players motivation to play better against you. It just doesn't make sense - that's a rookie move by Semin. Once he scores more then 80pts in this league he can start talking some s***.

I'd have to disagree with all of you here. Not on the issue that its a clean hit, because it definitely is by today's rules - but I take issue with it because Weight could have totally let up and it was a complete hit to the head. You make hits to take guys out of the play or not them off the puck, not to kill them. Its never fun seeing a young guy with a really promising career go down like that. For all we know, he could have some serious concussion problems. If this was Johan Franzen (like a couple seasons ago) you would all be crying foul.

Damn, I thought we were through with this black jersey trend years ago. The 'Canes new jersey just looks stupid in all black, and we all know the 'Hawks are returning to their black third as well. This Coyotes jersey is just plain awful. Every one of these teams who are producing these atrocities fail to realize they all look like cheap ECHL sweaters. To make a successful jersey you have to build yourself some kind of tradition, like the Leafs, Habs, and Wings - changing sweaters and making everything black just ruins it. I can see what they are trying to do from a marketing standpoint, but they obviously didn't get the memo that vintage is the new cool. It would be way better to have some form of their old jersey - even pay homage to their roots in Winnipeg or Hartford. At least that's a little more imaginative then just adding black.

What the hell kind of reasoning is that? Since Brodeur isn't the captain in NJ, Luongo doesn't deserve the C? I like the move - he is the franchise player in Vancouver now and is by far their most important player. The rule that goalies can't wear the 'C' is just dumb.
