Thats complete s***. If someone marked up my Wings jersey I would flip out. People pay hundreds of dollars to get the jersey of their favourite team. Thats just a dick thing to do. I highly doubt people will actually carry through with this.

I have established myself as a pretty crazy Wings fan among my friends - all my friends associate the Red Wings with me - so they give me s*** when the Oilers beat them, but they know that I actually get offended if they push it too far. Besides, there isn't much to make fun of the Wings for, all they do is win and consistently threaten to win the Cup.

I did not want to make a new thread about this - but I came across an awesome picture of ozzie from tonights game on yahoo.

He hasn't put up the points I wanted - but he is doing the right things and playing well. The points will come if he keeps playing the way he is. I have no doubt - he is such an asset to this team. EDIT. P.S. Props to Hudler too, he has played really well so far.

I love how Pierre McGuire warns us every time 'the big boys' (Sakic, Hejduk, Forsberg) are on the ice - and doesn't mention when ZDH are on the ice. Does he forget who has actually produced in this series?

I know I shouldn't say this given his recent tear - but Franzen has looked kinda sick for the last 40 mins.

I have actually noticed his ice-time too, or lack of it. I am constantly bitching to my father during the games that Therrien doesn't play him enough. His response is that he is convinced his ankle still isn't 100%. Earlier in the year, Sid was killing some penalties, but I think Therrien does not want to risk Crosby blocking a shot off the ankle or anything. I would like to see him get more ice-time, but whatever Therrien is doing - namely rolling all four lines - is working. I know its a lot of work and a ways off, but if us Wings fans haven't considered the trouble we may be in going against the Pens in the final, we should start thinking about it now. They look good. Damn good.

Right now yes - but the contract offer from Holland will also have to do with his performance during the season next year. If he gets around 20 goals and 40 pts, then I think we can expect a Cleary-like contract. If he continues to put the puck in the net like he has for the last month, you are right - it will be upwards of 3.5. Not that I am hoping the guy does poorly or anything, and I am ecstatic about his recent play - but he will have to prove consistency next year to want that kinda cash. I sure hope he stays hot!

I bet they give him something similar to the Cleary deal at some point next year. Something averaging around 2.8-3?

Yeah...I was gonna mention that. Every goalie does that. If goalies were suspended every time that happened, it would be a league of backups. If they get caught during play, give 'em a spearing or slashing penalty.

Sakic is a class act - I have never ever had any animosity towards him, not even in the rivalry's peak. I like to think Avs fans felt the same way about Yzerman, but I am not sure. Burnaby Joe is actually one of my favourite players of all time, I just can't admit that often since I am a die-hard Wings fan. EDIT- on the topic of player sightings; My girlfriend and I ran into a bunch of Calgary Flames at a movie downtown here in Edmonton last winter. It was a Friday night and they were here for a Saturday night HNIC battle on CBC. We didn't even notice them till we were walking out of the movie. It was at a pretty quite theatre that we like to goto because its never packed. We saw Craig Conroy, Jarome Iginla, Matt Lombardi, and Eric Godard. We were at the movie "Zodiac". I don't think it had enough action for them though, haha - but I was surprised they wanted to go see it. Maybe they had nothing better to do.

Really? you think so? I was just coming on here to say that I thought it looked dumb. Their jerseys are black and yellow/gold. The white makes it look like everyone is cheering for the Rangers. Sea of Red works and so did white back when home jerseys were the lighter ones, but I think this just looks confused. If anything, I would have gone with Yellow t-shirts, the colour of M A Fleury's old pads.
