Whatever... I give up! Seemed like a pretty well rounded highlight reel to me. The first couple are passes, but the goals 7-4, 2 and 1 are pretty impressive. But I can see what you guys are getting at - I guess I am taking it more as on 'Offensive Threat' rather then 'Pure Goal Scoring Threat'. No blinders here. I am subject to Leafs games every Saturday night thanks to HNIC, and all I see is Gill getting beat 1 on 1 with speed, and for a guy his size, why isn't he throwing hits like Hatcher? At least use your size for more then just clearing the front of the net. I think the fact the guy is on the Leafs 3rd D line tells all. I just don't see him as much of an upgrade over anyone on the Wings back end - not the kind of trade deadline acquisition that puts the Wings over the top, IMO.

Are you serious? Hal Gill is a slower, dumber version of Derian Hatcher....if you can even imagine such a thing. Remember how well Hatcher did in Detroit? There is not one single player Holland should give up for Gill

Whoa, I can't see how any top ten list would not include Crosby - even if you dislike the guy. Sure, he gets more assists then the lot, but one on one, there is no denying that Crosby is one of the tops in the league. If your going to include Martin Havlat, who has 21 points in 29 games this season, you have GOT to have Crosby. Plus, your reasoning for putting Datsyuk on the list fits perfectly for Crosby's style of play.

I dont know...I watch the guy play every other night here in Edmonton and he always gives a Dan Cleary like effort and has a hell of a shot (nice to replace Sammy on the 2nd PP?). MacTavish is a s***ty coach - I wouldn't bank too much on his opinion of the guy. Stoll is a potential 20 goal 50-60 pt man in this league. He had some concussion problems last year and this year he seems off, but the year before he had 60+pts and he's still young. I'd be willing to send a couple picks or prospects for him.

Who do you guys want to see the Wings play in round 1? The Wings have been bitten by some 'Cinderella' teams in the past few years early in the playoffs, so who do you want to see the Wings face in round 1, and who would you like to avoid? Personally, I would HATE to see Phoenix in round 1 - I have a bad feeling about them this year. A team like Colorado would be my first choice for a round 1 opponent. First off, getting a different goalie and trading Hudler and Flip doesn't strike me as taking things in a 'different direction'. Second, the Vancouver Canuck's really don't strike me as a contender...at all. Third, there was nothing 'tough' about my post - unless you find rolling eyes smiley's tough.... I was simply saying that the Oiler's took a 'different direction' in the last couple of years by trading Pronger and Smyth, and look how well they are doing. While I love gritty North Americans, they only go so far. The Oilers whole roster is made up of gritty NA's and they still suck. We have a great core in tact right now, it seems they are missing just one final piece. Oh, and the Canucks will do ANYTHING to keep Luongo. I don't see him going anywhere anytime soon.
