Such a minor change would be pointless. I personally LOVE the hawks logo. Its got so much colour and tradition. I wouldnt mess with it if i were them. P.S. "Don't cheer for Detroit or eat at Little Caesar's until the Wings put the captain's 'C' back on the right side!!!" Thats a little extreme dont ya think? Just cause the C is on the other side would not be enough to stop me from cheering for the Wings...or even stop me from eating Little Caesars. Those Hot 'n' Ready's are just too damn good.

yeah i saw this on the NHL Tourny of logos page. This thing is f*cking hideous. IMO the guy who makes the page should stop posting half the crap he gets mailed - its embarrassing.

The Wings site has always looked so amateur. Its actually embarrassing - i agree with others here, lgw.com is much more professional looking.

An improvement over the Dark blue and purple of years past, but this jersey is flawed in a couple of ways. The actual logo lacks the green of the rest of the jersey and leaves it looking kind of dull, especially in the home version The name 'Vancouver' making the captains 'C' look extremely cramped. Overall though, the colours are better.

Thats the problem with this idea of ranking players - the surroundings which they play in affect their game so much that the only thing you can really rank them on is their production at the end of the season. Sure, Zetterberg MAY have put up numbers like Crosby's - but he didn't, and it would have been one hell of a hot streak if he had ACTUALLY kept up with his pace. Saying he would actually score 131 points is banking on him staying just as hot for the rest of the season and playing the same position...which is no doubt unlikely. Crosby actually DID play close to 82 games...79 i think..and DID keep his pace - thus making him the best player in the league. SidGordie&Ted is right, your argument is based on what ifs. Don't get me wrong, with the right circumstances, Zetterberg could probably be the best in the league, but that could be said for a number of guys in the NHL.

eeek. i agree with the rest of the pop. here. Crosby is number 1 over Lids. Lidstrom is great in so many ways, but if you dont think Crosby is the most dominant player in the league - your not watching close enough. And, if your argument is based on how each player makes the TEAM better, Ovechkin should NOT be higher than Joe Thornton or even Pronger. Ovechkin is explosive and entertaining, but didn't have seasons like Thornton or Pronger. Other then that, your list would be similar to mine the names are agreeable, just need a little shuffling IMO... oh and minus Zubov..

I feel like am taking crazy pills...i dont like them at all.. Granted - you cant do much with a heinous lighting logo as it is - but these just look silly. The only neat part is the Numbering (ala Buffalo and NYI) on the away jerseys....weird how they just have them on the whites though..

eh, i wouldnt say he is a distant memory yet. It feels like yesterday i watched him walk of the ice for the last time here in Edmonton - and I miss the guy playing like crazy, but at the same time I really like were the team has gone in the last year. No post Yzerman hang over in Detroit what so ever. I am excited about the next couple years - there WILL be a cup back in Detroit soon.

Well that sucks..but what can you do. I just cant beleive there is no Wings/Oilers game on a saturday this year...theres ALWAYS one. I love CBC for its playoff hockey coverage, and HNIC in Canada is a great tradition, but they are so Pro Leafs its nausiating. Its like they think ever Hockey fan in Canada LOVES the leafs...when the truth is, everyone despises them outside of the GTA.

No Way. How can Yzerman be 'eager' to jump into a GM position. Its been ONE YEAR since he retired. We've seen the guys patience for the last 20 years, this would be so out of character on so many levels. The only team I could see him being a part of sometime down the road would be Ottawa. I'm talkin' decades here.

I think they are fine....i bet we wont see much of a change once they are on. My only issue is the 'v-neck' with the NHL logo. I understand all teams have gotta have it, but looking at these new jerseys, the ones with tie ups - like the rangers and bruins - look much better. Don't crucify me for saying this, but i wouldn't mind seeing the Wings jersey with a tie up.

uhg. I'd be devastated if the Wings moved to the East. Aside from Pittsburgh, Eastern Conference hockey is boring. I love watching the Wings play in the more open Western Conference. Its just better hockey out West. I dont question the Wings regular season success in the Eastern Conference, but I think the West has been consistently stronger for the last decade or so, and the games are always more exciting. Devils, Flyers, Leafs + the Florida brand of hockey is BORING. I know the day will probably come when the Wings move to the east, but I hope they can hold it off for the next decade or so.
