I don't like emotionless players. It doesn't show the game meant that much to them. Throwing a temper tantrum, which I don't believe this was, shows that the person was so devastated that he was willing to show that intimate, personal side of him. This guy threw a stick across the ice and the ref ran across is. This is no different than Howard slamming his stick or yelling or whatever toward his teammate. Or you could be Lidstrom and almost score the game tying goal in a game 7 stanley cup finals and not be fazed. He's just perfect though.

No Holmstrom, Lidstrom , Stuart, Bert, Helm, Draper, Maltby, Mccarty, Chelios, Shanahan, Hull, Hasek, Larionov, Yzerman etc. Name a team that has lost half that hall of fame firepower in the last 10 yrs, not have any top picks and can still play with the best of em. I love being an underdog. If We make it to 8th, we've positioned ourselves in to playing the Hawks in the first round. Franzen for his size should be intimidating. He has the ability to change a series yet he doesn't do it. In my lifetime (not very long yet) there's only been four players I've seen who when they step on the ice the coach, the team on the bench and players on the ice pay attention to: datsyuk, ovie, jagr and bure. Franzen has that capability but he doesn't use it. He can score, drag defense toward him, crash the net but instead he chooses to wait for dats to clear for him...unacceptable

What would be awesome is having a fourt line with just fighters. Put em out every start of a period against the top line. No head hunting just push em around a bit. Or even after the team scores...we'll be the Detroit 'dread you'll see Red' Wings.

Horton in a coma is better defensively than the franzen we have now.

Let's give them the mule then. Package him with cleary and a mid level prospect. It worked in nhl 13 !

I really hope he doesn't

I say coyotes win 9-1. Kindl with a hatrick and howie with our lone goal. A weird night where a chicken is thrown on the ice which causes franzen to wake up and realize he is the highest paid orange pylon in the world. 3-1 wings.

Why don't we trade him for Nathan Horton? Bos next year will have to resign him and he will get a considerable raise...Bos will only have 8m to resign everyone and fill jagr's role should they wish to dump him...fil is attractive in a sense that he's fast and is versatile. He can play any position and is defensively responsible. Add a third round pick (do we still have it i cant remember im sorry) to make it attractive. Horton fills our physical needs and power forward role. Just a thought. Just straight up swap (like my wife said).

We're also not the type to be physical. Dats is physical. Kronner is (if he wants) and abby, helm and toots. Maybe a versatile power forward can give us that edge in the east. I'm a franzen hater so i just wish we can swap him for someone with balls and does not stop skating after the first shift

I just cant wait for Jurco to play beside dats and for smith and kindle to reach full potential in the next couple of years. And with dekeyser getting full time duties we will be a fantastic team. Howie and mrazek as a tandem....oh yeah! Helm, toots and abby will be our next grind line in the future and with fil becoming a young veteran, he can carry the second line. I just really wish franzen is dumped. I am not at all worried about this team. Championship teams are built within and through adversity.. Can't buy it anymore.

I'm happy Kenny didn't do anything. We have a really bright future which we weren't really able to say, confidently, in a while. A trade now would have cost us our depth and Kenny knows that. A lowered cap next year will really screw over a few teams and by then they'll lose players they acquired this year for an attempt at the cup. I just feel bad for Dats having to play another mediocre year not unlike what happened with Lids during his last couple years here.

There's a good reason for this game being like this. Trade deadline tomorrow and babs knows that the team needs defense and scoring. The score should wake up holland to do something in the deadline rather than utter 'i like our team'. Or I'm just dreaming i dunno
