I'm not sure I agree that all the pressure is on the Wings. Each team and every player is going to have to deal with a ton of pressure. Many on the Wings can handle it and we have seen it over and over. For example, Helm will be there his usual 100%. Hank will play his ass off. I think the Penns have more to sort out. Flury in Detroit, Malkin handling himself if they get behind and more.

Why is that stupid? He's not a homer, that's what I see. We deserved to lose that game because of our lack of effort and mistakes. The better team won tonight. I'm sure he wants the Wings to win in Game 7 as much as you do and if the measure of fan-ness is to never say a negative thing, that sounds more like self brain washing than being a fan. Now these other posters who say "We suck and should be banned and so and so be fired/benched..." that is the opposite of being a homer - fair weather fans. In my book, both ends of this spectrum are just as bad, but there is a middle and it should be respected or at least ignored.

Last Wings game 7 SCF - 1955, beat Montreal 3-1. Hardly relevant, but what the heck.

You know, when I settle down I might think this - Flower had one game in him and this was it. We didn't go for the throat and maybe they felt they had some kind of cushion or something, but that isn't true any more. This is where we see what our team is made of.
