I think having Dats back will be huge, however, not with Hossa please. Dats's defensive play, stick handling and crisp passing will go a long way to help us not fumble in our zone all day with these guys. Still, a little better work ethic from quite a few guys can take care of that too. No, the Wings always seem to kill our nerves with one like this. On off on off on off... enough to drive a person nuts.

Hmmmm... everything except 3 in my book. Every great city plan uses the water front for people and parks. Having a hockey area or convention center on the water (let alone the Ren Cen) is just a killer. Honestly, Chicago is a great example. The ENTIRE lakefront is public and it makes the city a great place.

Come on, nothing would have made those games more exciting than a rash of holding and interference calls. You know, the ones where the replay has to be slowed way down in order to show how the players gloved index hand lightly brushed the opposing players thigh or elbow...

Wings will certainly win in five if not four. That's right, they might just ******* sweep the Penns. I they do, then will shut your scared little mouths, change your little urine stained pink panties and grow a set of balls? If only I were a Penns fan, I would quote these scared little girl posts all over my forum and laugh my ass off. Pathetic.

Gee, if only the Wings would read this forum and see all the deserving fans, that would give them a real boost and they would say to themselves, "How can we do anything but give every single last once of energy we have for these fine fine people? How can we not live up to their faith and trust?" Jesus, pathetic whiners.

The good news is this, of all the doubting scared little ******* in the world, none are on the Wings bench.

The thing about the NHL is they sound like the worst most "cover your ass" kind of business response in everything. It's all bulls*** and everyone knows it.

Two 3-1 games Osgood only allows one flukey goal each in game one and two. Osgood shuts down Penns in games 1 and 2. Abdelkader scores 3rd goal twice. Crosby pointless in games 1 and 2 this year and last. Crosby still a whiney *****. Penns come in cocky and the media darlings and still have to deal with the shock of the Red MAchine. Flury's ass scores for us in the last game last year and the first game this year. Flip scores amazing goal in game 2 this year and in game 2 last year. Got any more?

I think Mr. Webster or his descendants should be called in to rewrite the definition of "automatic." Everywhere, things that were automatic are not! Why this morning I was driving my car with an automatic transmission and the darn thing wouldn't shift.

From todays Free Press: http://www.freep.com/article/20090531/COL2...hout+their+best "Abdelkader scored 2:46 into the third period to give the Wings a 3-1 lead. Sunday night, Abdelkader scored 2:47 into the third period to give the Wings a 3-1 lead."

Ha! Funny comment. Very witty.

So, are the chances good he will be in Tuesday? He can play through pain and has done it before. I don't think it is fair to think he is soft and nobody, nobody ever will compare to Stevie Y. That's a measure that is out of this world. Dats wants to play more than we could ever want him to play. He'll be in if he can help us and not be a liability.
-
See you later Abdelkader! And by later, I mean Tuesday night! Great kid. Can you imagine what his parents are feeling. They must be flipping out.
-
How do you do it? I get so psyched up after these wins it's hard to sleep! Great game. Sure there were ups and downs but that has to be expected. The Penns are a good team and we gott control those turnovers and getting the puck out of our zone, but even when they are in our zone we kind of keep the chances down. Tuesday should see Datsyuk back. I'm looking forward to that!

Is tonight any indication that the refs are going to stay out of the way? Is interference now allowed? Hell, as long as they keep it consistent, I think I'll take it, but I have some doubts about how consistent they will be, especially if things get too good for thew Wings.

Seems like interference, roughing and even tripping are allowed while holding and slashing will be called. I hate to be on the conspiracy theory thing here, but two nights on NBC prime time might be a factor in the refs getting the hell out of the way. There are all kinds of new people watching this and to see play stop with a replay of unintelligible penalties is not exciting stuff.

The worst was where we had the voice over recording of Mario praising the young Cindy for like 30 frickin seconds of play! It was absurd.

Agree with you 100% and this is what the press has been saying. He will be rested, the foot in much better shape. It's the smart move. I will go on a very thick and unlikely to break limb here and say a rested Datsyuk is going to be a Penns nightmare. Think about it. Penns may make more adjustments in game 2, but in game three its back to Red Wings school. Plus, after being swarmed by the Ducks then on bad line combos with the Hawks (Homer and Holmstrom), he is ready to break out.
-
He has the speed of Draper (Draper says more than him or anyone in the NHL), but also (I think) better moves on his feet. I have no idea what he will be, but right now he is making the games fun to watch.
-
Right, and all the more reason for us to never reveal specifics. I don't understand why all this came out - Ericcson's appendix, Datsyuk's foot... It's War man! Could you imagine General Patton saying in the press, "Well, our left flank is a little weak and our fuel reserves are low..." What was the old WWII phrase - "loose lips sink ships"? Hell its not like baseball where nobody can tough anyone else.

We know as well as anyone, bad calls are made, calls are not made... it's part of hockey. If they want to whine about something long gone and done with, fine. It is a waste of time and comes down to nothing.
