Not quite. Hossa was a rental and not a permanent fixture. Federov was brought here as a babe (not to mention the Wings actually manage defection from the USSR!). Honestly, how long was Hossa a Penn? A few months? Why did they buy him in the first place? Hmmm, to win a Cup? Seems he did his part, but the rest of the team did not. So why the hell not go elsewhere? No comparison. Losing Federov was like coming home from work with the house empty, dog gone and a nasty note from your wife telling you she left you for your best friend. Losing Hossa was like seeing a one night stand go on a date with someone else. Big deal. So he is basically a ****, but a betrayal? I don't think so.

I am less and less impressed with this little kid. He has a quote a while back and said something like, "I'm not paid to block shots or kill penalties..." I can safely say that Carolina, Washington (yea Ovie, but then what?) and the Flyers are less than impressive to me. The Penns make look dominant, but while I am impressed, I am not super impressed with their opponents. How will the Penns prepare, or can they, if we meet in the SCF this year. P.S. Anyone, when was the last time the NHL had a SCF rematch?

Flip has always had a playoff attitude I think. He just keeps coming. Lots of energy with skllls and smarts to match. Tough little guy too. However, he did something else today that he did a few weeks ago. To get biblical, Hossa is like Lazurus and Flip like, well you know who, the big guy in that he has brought Hossa back from the dead - twice now. Does Babcock need it spelled out? Right on brother! We are lucky. We actually had the worst call in all of sports twice (Hossa non goal and Kronner hit), but DID OUR COACH GO WHINING TO THE PRESS? NEVER! There is a level of class and just plain balls to Babcock and we will never wince at him being a ***** ***** crying in the post game no matter what happens. The closest he came was in the finals last year when he said something like, "Maybe I should start complaining like the other guy." That was classic. Only coaches who are losers cry to the press.
