Well... seeing that for one game he put him on another line and he scored twice might just be a very subtle hint. However, now that he has been struggling with a useless Homer who is just not equipped to play with two skill guys in this kind of playoff hockey it just might be too darn late. He may be damaged goods as may also Datsyuk. Sorry, but I cannot accept that these two have not been shuffled a revolving door of line mates to see what might click. Babcock is the one to look at here. Come on, if your best player doesn't show up, then maybe it is him. If the two best don't... check that, how about your three best players one of whom won the god damn Conn Smythe last year... It has to be coaching. Maybe not all, maybe not more then 50%, but it has to be a problem.

I'm not old enough for this, but in 1968 Detroit was in the dumps post riot and the Tigers pulled out an amazing come from behind series win. It didn't solve Detroit's problems, but it helped people feel a lot better. Those players made a little more as a regular guy does now. I bring this up, because Detroit is certainly having a hard time now. As a fan I expect certain members of the Wings to recognize they play for a city too and to step it up. Hossa, Datsyuk and to some extent Hank. I am not seeing it and it is making me angry. They are paid riches beyond anything most of us can imagine.

I won't even think about the Penns right now, and the way we have been playing.... why bother.

Agreed, but why? How could a team come back from scoring three goals like that and just lay back. I don't understand. I could never be a coach. I'd be dope slapping 7 million dollar players in the back of the head on the bench. Is Babcock too hands off with these guys? I know they are pros and winners, but the hands off thing is too much some times. He can do it behind closed doors, but I think they need a talking to.

So if I'm Babs I like what I see and shift around Leino. This is the kind of player that makes things happen. I love our Wings, but it has been years since we had a guy who can cycle the puck like he does - he just needs someone else to do it with.

They better buck up and play the games of their lives here in OT. Quick line changes are key right. We have the lousy side for changes in OT too I think right?

That just isn't right. I think he is showing what he can do and there are a few others showing nothing... Doesn't seem fair or in our best interest.
