Pretty sure he was kidding. Team Canada has been the favourite at every international major (maybe junior too) event since the late 80's. They have won a lot recently but overall the record is not as good as what the world probably believes. This being said Canada is the favourite again and probably has the best team. I want Canada to win but at the Olympics it is anyones tournament. Personally I'd like to see another Salt Lake city tournament. Canada > USA in a finals game.

Russia will go down to Finland... Canada will cruise in for gold without having to play Russia. =P

I bet they will make it. One of the better D corps int he east coupled with the ability to score 250 goals. Thats a berth in the playoffs for sure. The criticism of their offense is a bit unfounded. Their scoring is just very evenly spread, just no top end guys that will be making the all-star team anytime soon.

Players definitely read message boards. Obviously not all of them, but plenty do. Brian Campbell says he always checks up on different forums. He even said he used to post but he doesn't want to get caught up in arguments about the game he plays professionally. Danny Syvret who has cracked the NHL (barely) always said that he'd want to talk to fans as much as possible and he responds to almost all of his twitter messages. He's the NHL player I've known the best and well he's just a kid. Always worried about what people thought of him when he captained the London Knights... he used to talk about how he didn't think he'd play in the NHL and wonder if he could play Counter Strike and Call of Duty pro instead. Bottom line is that these guys are just people. They want to know what people are saying about them and money doesn't change everyone.

Exelby is just going to fill in holes. That deal was primarily a dump in T.O.'s favour.

They've been toying with dealing Kaberle. Ian White needs to stay. Affordable salary and great defensive dman who can move the puck. Van Ryn and Exelby may not see ice or get traded. Exelby was a pawn in the Kubina salary dump. Finger should be waived.

Newbury's career was thought to be over after this. Only played one game last year because of this. No one should be too excited about him. Just incase he doesn't turn out to be the same guy he used to.

In his Draft Discrepancy entry he doesn't have his facts straight about Detroit's drafting. He seemed to say that we got Lidstrom in the second round and was a sort of no brainer. He also wrote off Fedorov as not a star player whilst in the same breath mentioning he was an MVP.

Leading all time swedish scorer in a career that has spanned an eon! what I was saying is his play in the last 7 or so seasons hasn't been all-star caliber. Toronto would have liked us to believe it was... but it wasn't.

I'm not really sure where I stand. I like Havlat, and I like to see players be people. I do however feel he has a responsibility to protect the league.

I think that Sundin is slightly overrated. He had a career blown out of proportion by the Toronto media. I do think he has something left to offer, its just that he would need to take 2 million or less a season to play for a contender. I'm not sure if Mats would take a wage like that.

So, what? You think we will get him at league minimum? Signing Leino and Hudler is going to cost us our cap space.
