At my Highschool we were the Flames. Our uniforms were way cooler though. This was our girls team. They are nicer to look at then me and my friends.

His plan at this point can only be... trade everyone for prospects... or drop one of Hossa, Toews or Kane... maybe Keith if he asks for 6 million or whatever his caliber defencemen make these days.

Chelios said he would flat out never play for Detroit. Kane would come around once he realized the advantages of being a Wing.

Fil's game can be projected on a line graph at this point. There is no indication that he won't continue to improve. Every season he has continued to make slight improvements. Now that the management will be trusting him with top 6 minutes he will be in a position to put up top 6 points.

Moen won't score 15 goals... no way.

Fil has an opportunity now to show us what he can do with top minutes. Leino is a natural goal scorer... good for 20. It's not entirely grim.

Some are doing it on a five year plan, Chicago has a six month plan.

Probably won't if he plays on the 4th line for 6 mins a night. We need Leino to chip in 20, Fil to increase his production (maybe 25-30?) and if Hudler gets a raise he needs to score more as well. If all of that happens then losing Hossa and Sammy will not sting quite so bad.

Abby should get another season of first line minutes again. Bring him up in the playoffs or near the end of the season again to replace the injured/tired Maltby/Draper.

Just for the record.. I am a hockey fan, I played junior B and high school, I've watched since I was too young to remember, I bought every damn NHL game that came out for Sega Genesis, PC and eventually Xbox. I can say that even with a life time of hockey under my belt I would chose 2 million over the cup.

He had a really wide stance. Always easy to spot him on the ice.

The arbitrator will probably value him around 3 million. Expect to see Hudler getting a contract similar to Flip's... in another city. =( When negotiation and arbitration comes up the judge and his agent will be citing Val's contract and probably Erat's contract as precedent.

He'll look good on a powerplay anywhere in the league. If he could skate like St. Louis they would be similar players. However he isn't necessarily quick and he can get rubbed off pucks easily due to his size and the fact he is a bit weak on his skates. Bottom line is he is good to have in a passing game... but 1 vs 1 he is a liability at times, especially in corners.

Ok I'm goign to do something.... defend Brian Campbell. First off being from Strathroy On. he is from my home town. I've played with him and he is an excellent guy. When Campbell keeps his head on straight he looks like a 6 million dollar defenceman (not 7). He has a shot so hard it cracked the glass in our hometown arena and took a guys ear off in camp. Granted he looks like a 4th forward on the ice sometime but then again sometimes a 4th forward isn't a bad thing. If it wasn't for the dumb spin thing he does before the neutral zone pass that creates turnovers so ugly it makes Jesus cry, he wouldn't be the NHL's whipping boy. At times he gets fancy with his stick... you know like a bad Lidstrom, but he can play the body too.

No votes for the former wings... Lang, Williams and Dev... lol.

Ok lets not be too bitter here. For all we know CHI saved us from cap troubles. Regardless of revenge or whatever... Vertseeg is a more capable player at both ends of the ice and has a lot more upside that Hudler. We should offer 2 mil and see what happens.
