They should trade Thomas now that his value is sky high and they have Rask who is more than able to come in and play legit 1st string. Thomas frees up 5mil... more than enough for Savard.

Honestly Helm should invest in some shooting practice. He needs a driveway and that goalie silhouette net. He might score 10 goals one year with all the chances he gets every game... or maybe use some of the stick handling and start dekeing goalies since he isn't bad against Dmen it seems.

5-4-1 at this point in the season isn't flat out awful. They will most certainly turn it around... Just imagine what SJ fans were saying about the Wings at this point last year.

I don't think it is as commonplace as a lot believe. Most players simple leave the visor on because it would take too much time to remove just the visor. If they remove the entire helmet they would be afraid of a K.O. punch that sends them to the ice, killing someone one day when he splits his skull open... or in the least, ruining a lucrative career. But let me just say this. If there is no instigator penalty distributed with a fighting major then there should be some rule that has both fighters take their helmets off. Two men should be willing to inherit the risks of fighting... including crashing to the ice. If fighting is going to be a part of the game (like it should be), than fighting should be governed properly like everything else.

A while ago I would say Vinny, St. Louis and Ohlund would be a good match. Not so sure anymore. I think the pens group OP mentioned would be tough.
