I don't think I've been more upset over a call. The Penguins having too many men on the ice for 30 seconds was bad, The Redwings losing a tie game vs. the Ducks (on Marian Hossa's no goal) sucked, but this is just plain disrespect for a player's well being.

I honestly have the worst facial hair ever... like blond Sydney Crosby facial hair (that bad, honest). Either way I can't grow facial hair in while I am working... we are only allowed to grow it in when we are off and then keep it neatly trimmed once we are back in the office.

I think the Cleve is pretty alright. A part from a few bad Detroit experiences I can safely say I don't mind the city of Detroit at all. No different than any large city really... just with the scales tipped against it, what with rampant unemployment and stuff.

I think the idea is that the shot was too close for comfort and had the goalie been able to get in front of the shot that hit the post he would have.. ie. the goalie is beaten, but not the post.

I think the mirrored visors are dumb. All fashion imo... but the blue one is cool for patriotism and all. Tilted is definitely so when you play a puck at your feet you don't have to deal with a line intersecting your view and two ocular planes (different depth perception etc) caused by plastic vs. thin air.

Problem is that we have proven that (at leats in soem markets) we will pay the high ticket prices. Even if salaries came down the ticket prices would stay the same. I see what you are saying though.

So if the players only get 50k each... where should the rest of the TV, merch, gate money go? Into the pockets of execs? Lets not underestimate how important entertainment is to the world.

Sorry to revive an older thread now... I just have to say that I love his clutch goals lately. A slapshot goal to tie a game with seconds left? This is the Datsyuk we need in playoffs. Someone who isn't afraid to shoot and score.

I'm not belittling his game but when I broke my nose five minutes before going to work selling stereo equipment I managed the whole day more or less fine (still talked, and wheeled fine)... even when my eyes got puffy and started to blacken hours after the accidental elbow.

The article you posted is great. Sometimes I think Pavel is the best hockey player ever... I know that statement has to be wrong - "Pavel Datsyuk is the best hockey player". But if you spend some time thinking about it, it becomes more and more true.

Only thing that will happen is that the wings will come back down to earth somewhat and start winning 2 of 3 at a time, which by comparison will seem like a slow pace... but thats still more than a enough to win.

I hope Z does, and I think it will be the case as well. I just hope both can play lights out in the playoffs. It sure would be nice in some home games to see a Z Pav Mule line that is actually scary gain...

I can't believe the bankruptcy judge filed in favor of the league... isn't it his job to protect the shareholders and make sure they recoup most of their money if bankruptcy is declared? Now I realize the argument is that the league wasn't bankrupt and the coyotes weren't the owner's property (sounds weird typing that), but then why was the case even taken to bankruptcy court?
